ITT: Post animals that are basically cryptids or mythological creatures that scientists are too big of faggots to admit exist, so instead they claim people "confused" them for creatures that were described before scientists came up with their own faggy names for them.

The first picture has been photoshopped with Alien's teeth. The third picture is also photoshopped by making the squid appear much, much larger than it actually is. Which is a shame, because giant squids do exist and fit your description of "animals that were once thought to be mythological but turned out to be real." I'd just like to note that calling them cryptids is wrong, though, because "crypto" means hidden, and now that we know they exist, they're not really hidden any more.

Which nasty scientist touched you, OP? And why don't you understand the meaning of the words "cryptid" and "mythological"? Neither of those words mean what you think they do.

Biologists and paleontologists can make their names and careers and sometimes fortunes by discovering new species.

Do you really think anyone who found a fossilized dragon would hide it when they could make millions off it?

Do you really think that biologists have no good reason to dismiss the notion of the "Loch Ness Monster" being a plesiosaur?

These cunts know a fuckload more about ecology than you do. You can't just have one plesiosaur in Loch Ness for all these years. You have to have a viable breeding population big enough to avoid catastrophic inbreeding. You don't think we would notice dozens or hundreds of plesiosaurs in fucking Scotland?

There are only a few thousand blue whales in the entire fucking world, and they're on TV every day.

Scientists are niggers. They will lie just so they can keep their narrative alive. It doesn't matter what the truth is, they only care about themselves. Archeologists/Physicists/whatever all lie

>Biologists and paleontologists can make their names and careers and sometimes fortunes by discovering new species.

So long as it's a new species of dolphin or something else already known to science, something that fits into the current scientific paradigm, yes. But any scientist that announced he's discovered a living plesiosaur would be ostracised and his career would be over. That's because scientists are humans too, and the scientific community has its own dogmas to defend. For example, you'll never hear about human fossils that are tens of millions of years old, despite the fact that such fossils have been found (as has been documented by Michael Cremo in his book "Forbidden Archaeology").

I don't know about this. I never thought of the oarfish as being a sea serpent. An eel or sea snake would be closer to my idea of a serpent.

Many species probably aren't even a new species but are just declared new. Look at how many species of ants there are. It's likely far less than claimed.
