Of course Satan is based on far more ancient gods of wisdom, chaos, darkness, nature, war, storms, destruction, creation, fertility and the reptilian essence. All these things relate. Nature is chaos, evolution, triumph of the strongest and strife. It's beautiful and dark.
The jews had their own experiences with this entity, they called it Satan. They've always tried to keep his powers locked away, as a forbidden fruit.
Their fear gave power to that form. I think Satan is an egregore of sorts but he reflects something much deeper and more ancient
Of course today there are occultist pharisees who try to control Satan as a means to control this world, but that goes against my principles and philosophies. It just relates to the part of their culture's heritage that wanted to put chains on the beast. They are not worthy champions, of a god that once inspired fearless wolven warriors. Satan uniroincally works in mysterious ways though, he can plunge the world or your life into total darkness just to provoke you to rise up as your strongest form. Not because he hates you, but because he wants you to wake from the lower consciousness of the hive minded herd
Satan is like Pan, a god that brings evolution and represents chaos
