Alien abductions intrigued me since I've heard about them, so I bought David Jacobs' book "The Threat" where he lays out the case that aliens are taking over the planet by producing human-alien hybrids which can control regular humans.
What surprised me the most was the cold, logical approach that he took with the abduction cases. If you read the books, or listen to any of his interviews, you see he has no interest in elevating his theory, only to go where the truth leads. He admits that hypnosis is unreliable if done improperly, but he takes special care to avoid the mistakes. He is not leading people, just asking questions according to what the abducted people themselves say.
And, according to him, the picture always comes out the same. You're abducted, some "procedures" mostly related to reproduction are performed on you, then your memories are removed and you're returned to Earth. But apparently the memory removal is not perfect, since hypnosis can recall it.
Anyway, apparently the goal of aliens is to integrate into human society and then cause "the change". He discusses that in his newest book "Walking Among Us". He admits he has no idea what is "The Change" but he has some speculations, and it's not pretty.
Anyway, has anyone read the books? Or is interested in alien abductions at all?

His books have been on my reading list for a while, but I knew his basic theory. To be honest, I'm not sure if I trust the stories that come from regressive hypnosis. As far as I know, hypnosis only works on very impressionable people, something like 5-10% of the population. And the idea that aliens are removing their memories but not completely seems a bit silly. If they didn't want people to remember their experiences, they could just use drugs to put them to sleep or cause short-term amnesia. We know how to do that, so surely they do too.
Another thing is, aliens have been interested in our DNA since forever. Elves were said to have human lovers sometimes. There have been stories about some people being the children of humans and spirits (Merlin was one of them). The heroes of the ancient world often had one divine parent. So this is nothing new, and if it's part of an agenda, it's been going on for millennia without any apparent effect.

Aliens might have been here since a long time ago, but they could have started the takeover only recently (perhaps once they've recognized a threat, since we've got technology?). Also, there could be different groups of aliens. Jacobs admits that too, but says he only cares about the ones that are doing the abductions.

There's "The Threat", but no "Walking Among Us" and I think that one is more interesting. It claims that hybrids are already living here, in apartments and such. It gives stories of them going to supermarkets and not paying for shit (since they mind-controlled the cashier).
I also recommend "Masquerade of Angels" from that library. It's not so much concerned about creating a comprehensive theory as Jacobs has done (apparently, the author thinks the aliens are incomprehensible, or cannot be fit into a little box). But the story is interesting.

I remember being a kid & seeing on TV 'how we could terraform other planets on the science channel
It talked about the little ideas they had, ideas of things like the "generation ships" & a machine that would terraform a planet, and then create a Human from scratch, either by cloning from a bio-printer, or modifying the local fauna to become us
To an extent it leads me to think, what if the Ayys are on our side? What if they are modifying us to be more resistant to disease & shit like that? If they really wanted change they would have changed us in the span of a couple decades ( the time length it only to be safe), genetic modification is extremely rapid & powerful when in the right hands, we already know this via just modern meds; imagine what their shit could do to us!
I don't know much about the Reptilians, but I do know they live underground, but at the same time a fuckton of other things live underground too (like Greys); I'm pretty sure the Reptilians can be chocked up to being butthurt about landing here first or whatever, but not getting to be toppest dog per se

Many yrs pass and at 26 after having twins I had a "sleep paralysis" episode where I saw 4 beings walking out of a window. Fast forward 10 yrs and had 3 back to back episodes where after work, wired and just getting in and settled I suddenly felt insanely sleepy…The first one I fought and got up and walked around..the second night it knocked me out but only for a few seconds it seemed..the 3rd night it got me as soon as I sat down and I awoke in the middle to see some dark gray figure holding my left leg in the air. In a fraction of a second of me being able to see it (my head was positioned so that I was staring into the back of the couch as if I had been thrown face down into the seat .Somehow it got moved and my head tilted out where I could see what was there.) it dropped my leg making a loud bang on the end of the couch arm and it took off so fast it was just a blur. The nordics and reptilians are in a proxy war against eachother here on earth, in ancient times they would have been referred to as angels and demons. There are some nordics that are still slave to reptilians, so anybody looking nordic is not always to be trusted. Grays are mixed, they are not one species, some work for or with reptilians, some are described as more neutral. Rumors are that the reptilians claim Earth as their original home planet. Rumors are also that the nordics have cities below the surface and have been all along, and might have been misdirecting people to the skies for ages so we won't go look underground. But they're probably also elsewhere in space, but I doubt they'd tell us their true locations of colonies so as to keep them hidden from reptilians. Their origins remain a mystery as far as I can tell

No thread about David Jacobs would be complete without mentioning the "Emma Woods" debacle. Woods, a pseudonym, was a research subject of Jacobs. Misconduct has been alleged. It has been reported that Jacobs initiated hypnosis sessions with her via telephone, which most therapists and hypnotists would alone consider to be reckless behavior. Transcripts and recordings of the sessions, published by Woods, show Jacobs asking leading questions. At times pushing a narrative that fit with his published works despite her insistence that she had no memory of, for instance, having been aboard a UFO. Some of the more salacious details include Jacobs asking woods to mail him her underpants… so that they could be tested for extra-terrestrial DNA?
Later during the same session, Jacobs instructed Woods, "Well, if you can dig up the underpants, without even thinking about it, just put 'em in a plastic bag, put 'em in an envelope, then just send 'em off to me. Totally, greatly appreciate it. Do not even think about it. Just do it automatically. No fuss, no muss and don't think about it afterward either."
Among the more infamous recordings to be published by Woods included the chastity belt clip. Jacobs explained to the woman that she could consider wearing a belt that "right where the vaginal opening is has a couple of nails sticking across." This, he suggested, would slow down hybrids intent on committing repeated sexual assaults.
"They have these sex shops, ya know, and I went into one that specialized in bondage dominance, a place that I frequented quite often," the man claiming to be an advocate of strict scientific and ethical research told Woods during a long distance hypnosis session.
Perhaps, aside from wanting to sell books, Jacobs wanted to take Emma Woods deep innawoods, wink-wink nudge-nudge, if you catch my drift?
If one performs an internet search for "Emma Woods" and "David Jacobs" a curious narrative emerges. Though Woods website appears to have been taken down, Jacobs has published his defense of any impropriety. Take time to hear out both sides of the argument, it is an interesting rabbit hole to travel down to say the least. Jeff Ritzmann & Jeremy Vaeni released a fairly thorough expose on this matter on their Paratopia podcast some years ago. Woods herself was interviewed there. Dr. Tyler Kokjohn has published some interesting commentary as well.
I forget the details but at some point over the years Jacobs had become paranoid he was receiving harassing text messages from hybrids or something to that effect. I always wondered whether he was making that up to boost book sales or if maybe, just maybe, some l33t h@x0r was just trolling him for the lols. Though it says nothing of the possibility of extra terrestrial life and the theory that they may be interfering in human affairs, I found, after scratching the surface, Jacobs was more of a lolcow then anything. For a while Jacobs was laughingly being called the Bill Cosby of Ufology.

I don't believe the original "Emma Woods" site is online anymore. My memory of this matter is that after "Emma Woods" published her experiences with Jacobs she faded back into anonymity, as she only wanted to tell her story, alert others to possible misconduct, and not be a persistent public figure. The few times I heard her interviewed, she seemed reluctant to come forward at all and stressed that, above all, she just wanted to get on with her life in private. David Jacobs now hosts a site that provides his side of the story. I remember the audio being more readily available when this was breaking news but don't know if it has been, to some extent, memory holed due to actions initiated by Jacobs, perhaps aided by damage control from Temple University for PR reasons, or simply forgotten about due to lack of general interest. I'll again mention that this controversy should have nothing to do with the question regarding extra terrestrial life and it's possible interaction or interference with humans, but has more to do with Jacobs, his methods, and the potential conflict of interests arising from him being a for profit published author.

I'm not sure if the original Paratopia episodes are still online. There is an Itunes page for the show but it may be dead as this was some years ago. I may have an archive of the Paratopia episodes, they were quite entertaining, but I'd have to dig through some old hard drives to look for them when time allows. Again, this all happened some years ago. Though this story made some waves at the time, I didn't rigorously archive the related content as it didn't seem all that significant. I have noticed this many times over the years. Some paranormal researcher, usually with books to sell and speaking engagements that come with a price tag attached, will embarrass themselves, back away from public life to let the dust settle, then re-emerge as if there was little to no issue regarding their past antics and then re-engage a new audience.

>I find it scary and infuriating that any woman can accuse a man of sexual harrassment without any evidence…
Agreed. As a generality this is true. Yet, in this specific case, there are tape recordings of Jacobs odd behavior which are not so much evidence alluding to an accusation of wrong doing but the public record of his research methodology. Also, the allegations didn't center around the me-too cliche in as much as they brought into questions Jacobs competency as a researcher, the questionable methodology he used to gather evidence, and his motivations to perpetuate a narrative which he was profiting off of. When this came to light some years ago, there wasn't much talk of pursuing legal action or a prolonged attack upon his reputation via social media, as has been seen with the me-too bandwagon crowd, just a release of information in the form of recordings that gave context to the claims he was making and selling for profit to the public.
