Hi /x/

So this is what's been going on for the last five years.

I was extremely sensitive to the paranormal when I was a Catholic. I left the church about five years ago because I didn't really agree with the lifestyle and much of the doctrines. Plus, I stopped believing in God (understanding God as a benevolent being who intervenes in the history of man and whatnot).

Thing is, ever since I stopped believing in Christianity, I can't feel any of that weird stuff. Is it because I was biased before and now I'm not? Or maybe there's something more to it?

You were aligned with a strong well fed entity. Associate with the earth feel the oneness of the universe and stand in awe. If you don't tap into a powerful entity or build yourself to be that powerful entity then a lot of it goes away.

The way you think and feel changes the way you experience the world. It's also possible that you simply got older. Some people are very in tune with the paranormal when they're children, but they lose that feeling once they grow up.

You've pushed it out of your own mind, filled your conscious experience with other things, which comes with age. I don't see auras or shadows or sense things at as high of a frequency as I used to either, but if I reeeeeally want to, focus, and remember the feeling, I can still see auras and occasionally see spirits. Just don't doubt your own experience or try to rationalize outside yourself and it will all come back to you. It has nothing to do with the godform you worshiped, though you may have needed that extra loosh.
