You know, since all gayms today are basically movies with a little bit of the ol' pressing buttons.
What are some games you would like to see as movies?
Any concept of your own?
I personally would like to see a DOOD movie where it starts as a hell patrol going to mars to exterminate demons, then all die except for the OG doomguy and then he gets angry and and kills demons and meets daisy and shit. There's a Judas Priest soundtrack with celebrity guest Sylvester Stallone.
I know it's autistic but it's why i would like to see.
Also an animated TF2 movie.

Unironically, Pokemon as a setting could make some good movies, but with Dick Pik they didn't really handle it the best. I'd personally make a couple different movies set across the multiverse. For example, one could be about a young Professor Oak from a world like the games, while another could be about the Team Rocket trio like the anime because they're clearly the best characters from there. You could even set one in the PMD universe, for all the furries. If you want a cinematic universe, I could figure that shit out too, to the point it would give TPC and Game Freak to go back on some of their decisions to cut Pokemon. Because the fact they cut Kotora from TWO games is a crime.

The Last of Us, God of Soy, Uncharted, etc. "Cinematic" games that have driven standards into the dirt; at least crap like Halo and Gears of War were developed with FUN being more than an afterthought.

Metal Gear Solid 3 (James bond meets Rambo) would make an amazing film.

Shadow of the Colossus. I know there were some rumblings of it getting a movie but I don't think it went anywhere. It could work even if you cut the colossus battles in half and they stay true to the atmosphere and kept the non-english language.

I agree with some of the other anons that a movie would probably not be the best fit for most games and a series/episodic format allows better story-telling from the videogame medium. I heard the Dead Space animated movie was good though I have not watched it.
Anyway I think a Scud series could be pretty good, minus the "muh stronk female" which would have to be in it. It's surreal enough to make for an interesting show

It was better then expected. And certainly better then a lot of "the West has finally made a half decent vidya adaptation".
But Dead Space had a formula for a movie down in movies like Event Horizon, Sunshine, and Pandorum.
But I also liked the RE CGI movies as well as FF Advent Children, so know my taste is weird. Trying to adapt a full game is a serious undertaking, but doing a small, contained story does.
But yeah, most times, a series or episodic films are a better route. Ended up liking the Persona 3 films.

The Yakuza Papers is my favorite series of all time and definitely influenced the Yakuza games in very good ways. It also made a somewhat decent movie with Takashi Miike as the Director. It's not the best but its to be expected from a Japanese movie from the 2000's, I have a watch party every Christmas with my bros.
