So there's this story going around that PlayStation is trying to bring back Silent Hills: http://archive.is/eLTyA
I'm making this thread to correct this before any anons post it in earnest. This article is bullshit from a random horror blog, they claim "Sources" tell them this, but they don't actually say who any of them are. People figured out one of these sources is Dusk Golem, a notorious bullshitter who's been making shit up for YEARS. He got lucky by "leaking" info about the RE3 remake existing - he didn't know it existed, he just guessed and turned out to be right.
Beyond that, the article is extremely fishy. They give no reason for trusting this source, no proof or evidice on this, no examples of what this supposed source has gotten right in the past. They give nothing more than a "lol trust him guise". Here are exact quotes form the article.

There's also this tidbit.

It was known Masahiro Ito was working on the series since Silent Hills, this isn't some leak. This is obscure public information somebody is trying to pass off an insider news.
It's also important to note that a lot of the major people working on Silent Hills like Junji Ito and Norman Reedus only did so because Kojima knew them (like it or not he has a lot of connections, I do not fucking care if you think he's a hack or whatever, that's not what this thread's about and there's already Kojima thread if you want to talk about him >>16874417 ) and the rest of the Silent Hills devs up and left Konami after he left.
So even if this rumour is true, it won't be whatever was originally being planned.
It's far more likely Konami would make a new Silent Hill game entirely, not a reboot of Silent Hills as this article claims.
