For the most versatile semi-open source fighting-game creation engine, I'm still at odds as to why the creators haven't released any news for the past 3 years.

It almost feels like abandonware at this point:

-The main site's still down after years of nothing (you can only download it from outside sources)

-Elecbyte went quiet a while ago (thus impossible to contact).

-Despite a still massive community, there were no official updates for years now.

Despite the open nature of it, and by what you think, it's NOT completely Open Source. The creators hold it under a similar license the likes of Source or Unity (since 1999).

I doubt the creators care that much about it at this point. If it means flushing them out just so they can protect their "copyrights" (and them finally stepping out to answer all of the questions we had), then I'm willing to convince someone here to somehow release the Source Code.

I'm still disappointed there was never someone autistic enough to do an 8chan Salty Bet where you'd pit random broken fighters against each other. The actual betting side is probably a pain in the ass to implement, but watching a tournament with other anons would've been fun.

Awhile back we did have a 8chan mugen put together but it died.

I think I started helping out with putting together characters but it died after the thread died and nobody made another thread.

Afterwards I just kinda started adding a bunch of characters to my own copy. I have basically a completed roster of characters with a bunch of boss characters too, about 10 or so gigs.

It's mostly sorted. Pic related. We'd need a bigger skinpack and roster for an actual saltybet, but this might be good for a online gamenight.

Oh yeah, thats Ms. Fanservice. Her .def name is A Pair of Jiggling Tits.

She's a cheap character who uses a metric fuckton of assist supermoves. (thus the reason why she's cheap. Not anything else like high power or easy combos or etc.) Her special (which I can't capture very well) is Yoko just shooting a sniperrifle a bunch of times, but each bullet is just a chick's sprite. Would be boner inducing if it weren't for those pesky clothes.

Not as cheap as like Fused Zamasu or something. (who can very easily stunlock lesser-tier characters.)

This dude has been trying to make a Mugen 2 in UE4 so you can have access to a newer mugen like template.

The default mugen assets he uses for example vids puts a fight or flight in me because I can see another wave of sewage and people porting all the funny the first time but not the 200th instant kill Akuma ports.

There is a version of M.U.G.E.N with a source code it's called Ikemen it added a bunch of new feature and even online play there multiple forks of it ,I think the latest one is Ikemen GO it uses (((google))) programing language but it's still not finished yet here's the link http://archive.is/lpMO5
