What are you looking forward to, game wise? I was considering getting the new Animal Crossing, since they seem to actually have more actual customization shit in it this time, and I like designing towns.
And arranging it so that everyone in my town wears extremely offensive or lewd custom shit with stone dick pathways.
I'm looking forward to surrounding my neighbors with a moat and walls that they can't cross so they can't come to my 3/4ths of the island so the furry coronavirus quarantine gulag can begin as I slowly buy everything out of their houses and replace their wallpaper and floor with the worst, most opressive designs available if I can't directly put custom designs in.

It's gonna be cool when ODST is finally ported to PC, Reach and Halo CEA are in playable enough condition right now, that I don't much of a reason to worry about ODST too much yet, It will be nice if 343 actually manage to add in the ODST Firefight.
The Official English version of Phantasy Star Online 2 is also going to be neat.
Ninja Gaiden 4 is likely going to be announced soon, and I think a Ninja Gaiden collection on PC will happen to hype it up, at least that is what would happen if the publishers aren't retarded, since it's just easy money.
As for a game that hasn't already been released before… I guess I want to see if the next Sonic game is slightly less of a train wreck then usually, The success of the Sonic movie might be giving the series allot of new fans right now, so it will be interesting to see if Sega can actually capitalize on this opportunity while Sonic's reputation is currently less bad then usual, or if they're gonna fine another way to fuck up a milestone anniversary for the series…

There are THOUSANDS of completely free never pay for roms games worth playing. And don't fucking say you have played them all,there are a fuckton of gems that you probably have never heard of.
Why don't you play some NES goodness,like Little Samson (by the director of the original Mega Man,featuring not-Yellow Devil as the final boss),Crystalis,the Destiny of an Emperor games,Metal Storm,Shatterhand,Lagrange Point and such?
And these are just some of the first games that came to mind,they're not even obscure (except maybe Lagrange Point,but it's so fucking rad that more people should know about it).
Also,have you played those well-known classic gems? Did you play all the amazing Shinobi games? Or the Dragon Quest games? Even fucking Zelda? People here more often than not didn't. And while many of these games are overrated especially Zelda,they're still really worth it.
So if the only interesting shit this month is Nioh 2 or Animal Crossing I don't have a Switch to play it,fire up an emulator,download something off GOG and start playing,you fucking casuals.

Nothing that's announced yet. I'll probably be playing Baldur's Gate 3, but that might end up as underwhelming and fatiguing as the two Divinity: Original Sin games.
I hope Dying Light 2 can figure out the shortcomings of the first game, since the first Dying Light was very close to being great.
Diabotical is finally coming out. I halfway doubt it will be big, but somehow deep inside me I think there's a chance it doing decently. I certainly hope so at least, since arena FPS deserves to do well and it definitely has better chances than Quake Champions. The developers have enough money to keep developing for 2 years thanks to Epic Games, and it being on Epic means that there's potentially more people looking at it than there would be if it was on Steam, since Steam's free to play section is a mess.

Synaptic Drive looks like a fun spiritual successor to Custom Robo, and it has crossplay so I'm hoping the multiplayer isn't completely dead. Also it's nice to see W101 finally coming to Switch, even if they had to use a shitty kickstarter. Additionally Destroy All Humans looks fun, so I'll probably get that day one. But yeah, there's not much out there in terms of upcoming content, mainly because we're in the season between game releases and people actually releasing news on their games.

Been playing the first Sly Cooper. It's neat but it doesn't control as well as the second game. I'm curious if Band of Thieves is as good as I remember or if replaying it will sour me on it.
Also been playing Daemon X Machina and honestly it's making me want to try out the Armored Core games instead, since at least I remember the Ps1 game being relatively difficult instead of fuck all in terms of challenge. If only this were more difficult I'd enjoy it more, but I think I'll be dropping it. Credit where it's due, this game controls and has really satisfying movement so I'm hoping the AC games follow up on that. It's so neat when I encounter a movement system so enjoyable I involuntarily crack a wide smile while playing.

From what I understand the Ratchet and Clank PS3 trilogy is fairly buggy. Nothing unplayable unless you're playing Deadlocked though, the FPS drops quite a lot in that game with some of the more hectic fights. If I'd suggest an order, I'd say keep Jak for last because you might not like the second and third games. They're not bad per say, but they add a lot of bloat like the open world and the massive lack of difficulty Jak 3 has compared to 2 was mood killer for me.

New Trials of Mana gameplay trailer just leaked. It looks so much better than FFVII. Why Square is remaking two classics and releasing them two weeks apart is fucking beyond me, but no doubt they will take it as "proof" that people don't like Mana because they blew their marketing budget on the shittier game from belts-and-zippers-man in order to recoup costs on yet another development-hell title.
Anyway, Trials of Mana looks good.

As for what I'm playing at the moment, I'm replaying Doom with Brutal Doom and Hexen in GZDoom and having a blast. I actually started making a map for Doom just because. Think I might turn it into a project and make a TC by the end of it, one where I can play as a cranky old wizard who isn't very fast but who fucking wrecks shit with spells.

This video? Yes. Day one purchase for me. I'm curious as to how much longer the game will be, because of the new character customization options. The remade soundtrack is sounding good so far, too. The default boss theme reminds me of some of Etrian Odyssey's battle themes. It looks like you'll be able to bind four items and four spells to shortcuts, greatly reducing the time spent in menus. I also have concerns about Trials of Mana releasing in the same month as FF7 being intentional for nefarious reasons.

It's a faithful remake, in the sense that it's literally the same game with new graphics, voice acting, and music. All of those things are hit or miss.
I like the new look of the game, but there's a lot of evidence that they didn't try at all when bringing the original story to 3D. The majority of cutscenes just tint the screen black, stick bigger character models on top of the screen, and have them move through a few canned looping animations while "talking". No lip flaps, either. The few cutscenes that merited actual effort are still pretty lackluster.
The music, though, is astonishingly awful. Instead of using one of SE's own composers, they shopped it out to a ton of indie musicians. Only 2 or 3 of the new tracks are even on par with the old stuff, and the rest are a mix between unfitting at best and genuine ear rape. Thankfully, you can switch back to the old music at any time.
Oh, and at launch it was prone to crashing. It's had a few patches since then, but caveat emptor.
Honestly, it's not worth buying. Pirate if you can.

There's always Yuzu for emulation if you've got a competent rig, although emulation does tend to be fucky at this stage in a console's life. If you'd like to see what the deal is in general, the GameCube one is pretty basic but has a lot of charm that later games can't really replicate. Well, that's assuming you don't mean you've heard good things about the new ones in particular and haven't played the older ones. If so I'm retarded, but what else is new. Generally for AC, I'd recommend the GC for the above reasons and whatever one is newest for QoL changes and actually being able to play with other people potentially, although even in their heyday the DS and Wii one were kinda fucky. New Leaf is pretty comfy in general, and New Horizions looks to be going more towards that with more customization so it'll probably be pretty good too.

You might think consoles have a pretty good library but if you've ever used Steam you understand the utter volume of games that come out for PC. Sure most of them are shovelware indie-art garbage but at least some of them turn out to be decent once in awhile. Doom Eternal looks like a game focused on just being a video game video game, giving these new enemies which seem very aggressive and move differently, the faster movement speed, the dash, the hook, all it adds up to a sensory pleasing game. On one hand getting a game that plays like the original doom with siny grpahics would be nice, on the other hand us getting a this unique game that really doesn't play like anything else is something that adds more. (plenty of doom clones out there, not much out there actually like the nu-doom)
P.S it's so refreshing to hear actual devs talk about the design of the guns.

I've been keeping a close eye on this game since the E3 reveal, and this trailer has me pretty excited for it. Not day 1 purchase excited, but will likely be an eventual buy from me unless it ends up being a huge letdown. I actually need hardware that can run it first.
I'm definitely pleased with just about everything I've seen of it so far. I'll admit I still kinda prefer this rendition of High Tension Wire, though. On a related note, Dangaard is probably the one encounter I'm most interested in seeing in the remake.

I have had some decent fun with the dreadfully short Star Fetchers demo. It's free on whatever you tend to use for your PC gayming fix. The swordplay reminds me of older flash games but better and if the gunplay is even half as good I think the game will shape up fine. The artstyle is kind of nice as well, especially during the short cut scenes. The main game's graphics I think work decently well for it.
Oh and of course hoping STALKER 2 isn't vaporware, or if it's awful give players the ability to mod it as hard as STALKER 1

I'm hype for Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Just released today and I hope it corrects one of the biggest flaws of the original. The entire pointlessness of combat and how it's never used at all in terms of puzzle solving at all. There's so much you can do with your only means of defense being a separate wisp. But they never bothered. So I'm happy if they either remove it for pure combat mechanics upgrade or keep it for expanded options and better puzzle integration.
