I used to get demo discs from Sony for the psone in the mail and my brother and I never knew about the chanting to possess the guards, so we spent ages trying to beat the level on the demo without it. Gave up, then played the full game at my friend's house and it was awesome.

Fear and Hunger is based off you eating shit a lot. Fuck the first save point will occasionally kill you. Its worth to learn what not to do though.

I recall him saying when he was younger he didn't really write the Glukkons to be evil, its was just business. But as he has gotten older he now believes that there is evil in the world.

I instantly think of Nethack just because I've had runs that have ended in like a handful of steps.

Please can you make a thread after or as you replay it? I just really thought it was a fairly hard game, I can still remember the baby and the spike floors and shit

you know, i was playing the original Oddworld on PC, that i got for free on steam at one point or another.
i was doing super well, i got past the whole "escaping the city" part, then i went into the mudokon land, i passed all the trials, and went back into the city to rescue the remaining mudokons, up to this point i had saved absolutely every single slave so far.
then my save got corrupted because fuck you and i lost days of gameplay, never played again. that really pissed me off specially because i've heard the remakes were made easier in difficulty.

Lorne is a interesting guy because even if you don't agree with him the guy still has some interesting insight and life experience.

You can tell the interview was done back in 2011 because bagging on the rich was acceptable back then. Now the media is full of retards screaming about being too white or too male or too whateverthefuck and the only public person still talking about wealth inequality is an old communist parasite making millions off his naive followers.
Maybe the reason why Lorne never managed to get his movies made is because moviemaking is done by people who don't want the general public to start learning about this shit.

Maybe. For a while he had to lay low because of all the shit he had to do to keep his IP. New and tasty missed the mark so I hope soulstorm is something good. I've like most of the oddworld games but he need to hurry the fuck up, he not getting any younger.

Most of the movies coming out of Hollywood now and I guess at least for the past few years have been capeshit, remakes, and really banal safe comedy. I was reading something about it the other week and there was some stuff being talked about on radio here in Ireland, Hollywood by and large at the moment are only interested in really safe money makers whereas in the past they might take a chance and fund something with a bit more art to it. This combined with the current social climate particularly in the US and here we are.

That's not true, they are pushing a lot of politics into their movies. The remakes are often made to destroy the old version with a new "better" version like with Ghostbusters.

I'm not saying they aren't pushing politics but my main point is that they are not even really looking at art projects because since the gfc they've focused on safe bets. The politics is also connected to the social network, they want to be onside with the hive or rather not be attacked by a million dickheads on twitter over some bullshit. They basically just want profit firstly and the politics angles are for the profit. I know I'm not explaining it well so good luck anon
