Knightblazer and OverKnightblazer breaks almost all semblance of difficulty in Wild Arms 2 (albeit not without plot reason), with the biggest concern for the player being whether they want to blow the 100 Force it takes to Access (and the time it takes to get that much Force as well) on trash, if it's going to live that long in the first place. Also loved how Shadow Hearts series had the Soul Fusion aspect, with at least one character in each of the PS2 games able to shapeshift using subjugated demon/spirit/monster souls at the cost of their sanity. Yuri in particular winds up highly versatile due it as be it due to him being more experienced at fusion or just having more receptive genetics (than even his cousin), he gets a whole swath of fusions of varying elements, stat bonuses, abilities, and looks, letting him perform pretty much any role if you know what to shift to take advantage of the situation.
