Probably my favourite ActionJRPG. 3D at least. I still love the Soul Blazer trilogy on SNES for 2D ActionJRPGs.
XBX is probably my least favourite because it runs the worst and has the worst censorship. I would like to see it remastered, though at this point (after #FE) it's guaranteed that the censorship will be backported to Japan instead of the other way around, and the terrible memes and writing will stay.
I'm looking forward to XBDE so I can play it on the go, and the 3DS screen was just too tiny to do the game justice.
As long as they keep the hentai artist doing the character designs and the NOE team localising and doing the VA work instead of the butchers in Treehouse I'm all for it.

The only other big issue was the "harem to tea party" localisation change, everything else was fairly minor and in some cases worked really well ("turtlehead" for example).
I'm really interested in what Monolith Soft is working on at the moment. The XB remaster is being handled by a third party and they have some of their team helping with BOTW2, but they're also working on their next game and I want details. I would like a proper sequel to XCX but I don't think it's likely, despite it ending on a cliffhanger, and if they do give it a sequel (and remaster the original on Switch) it will likely be pozzed as fuck by NOA too.

XBC2's plot is neither ridiculous enough to be amusing nor well written enough to be interesting, it doesn't seem to have any heart in it and comes out childish and mediocre.
And the RPG elements are pretty shit too. Just equip your best equipment, get gachashit blades, do waste of time tasks to get blade level ups, and then hit your buttons in series a bunch of times. Challenge? Nah. Choices? Nah. The only flexibility you have is how you want to cover the elements for your big dick combos.
I've enjoyed my time in Epic Battle Fantasy 5 much more, a game barely out of Newgrounds in both artstyle and plot, but actually has pretty good quests and much more engaging RPG mechanics.
Though I can appreciate Nia, I don't get why so many people like the game when it's story and gameplay look to be subpar. So why do you guys like it?

Tetsuya Takahashi is really good at doing the same story but slightly different, shame that it only worked out in the numbered Xenoblades (unless Xenoblade X really is the roman numeral I like to joke it is). Interestingly, the first Xenoblade is when he gave up trying to tell that story, and it ended up becoming super popular and it's own franchise despite it fairly clearly being a stand alone title. The one time he doesn't really want to make a 6 episode story is the time it works, of fucking course. Xenoblade 2's plot is mostly just Xenogears, except less depressing and with most of the robots replaced with cute girls. So in other words it's pretty alright. At this point I'm more curious about what Xenoblade 3 or X II will be like, mostly the former if it really is a different Xenogears episode idea. X as a separate series has a ways to go to get me invested, I've said before there are textures in the game that have more interesting things going on than the actual story. That having been said I've got a couple good ideas on how to make ground and mech combat fun with Xenoblade 2's mechanics, plus the whole "guest artists" idea works better for mechs theoretically designed by different people than actual real living creatures that can artistically clash. What I'm saying is I like giant robots and I want them to be good. Also, DE looks interesting, I want to see what the deal is with the non-cold shoulder and see what can be done there. Honestly I'm fucking pissed I keep missing the death of Global Nemesis in X, I know how to game the system but I can't actually manage it for retarded reasons. Hopefully I can manage it next time.

The problem isn't that there are too many Fire Emblem characters in Smash Bros. The REAL problem is that now horrible the representation of Fire Emblem is in Smash Bros ever since Smash 4. 90% of all of the FE reps in Smash Bros has always been the main swordlord/swordlord archetype main character and the only exception to the rule is Robin who's a mage knight that plays with the durability mechanic of the series plus being a magic user. Honestly, there are a great variety of characters that fights with different weapons that aren't swords and hell even there lords in the series that wields other weapons as well. But no matter what, Sakurai will always default to the swordlord of the most recent Fire Emblem game no matter how much people tell them to not do that. At this point, I think Sakurai is doing this on purpose because of how much Fire Emblem go too popular in his eyes so he decided to go out of his way to give Fire Emblem a bad name and it's working.

Sakurai isn't making the decision. It's pretty blatant that, from as far back as Melee, Nintendo sees Smash as a pedestal to advertise the newest Fire Emblem. You had Roy in Melee, Ike in Brawl, Robin and Lucina in 4, Corrin as DLC for 4, and now Byleth as DLC for Ultimate.

I do agree that Corrin was the last straw that broke the camel's back for how people feel about Fire Emblem in Smash Bros but I argue that Byleth is worse than Corrin. At least Corrin has a half-manakete half-swordie moveset and was technically it own thing when it came to a FE Fates rep plus having at least SOME traces of personality (Despite how trash Corrin is as a character). Byleth one the other hand is one of the worst main lord archetype characters in Fire Emblem because Byleth is so bland and uninteresting as a character. To top that off, Byleth using the Hero Relics that Dimitri, Claude, and Edelgard uses is a slap to the face to Fire Emblem Three Houses fans because they wanted either Dimitri, Claude, or Edelgard to be in Ultimate over Byleth.

Assuming that Nintendo forces Sakurai to put in the latest main character in the latest Fire Emblem game (Which I don't believe that one bit), then why does it have to be the main swordlord? Nintendo does that with Pokemon and Nintendo/Sakurai never pushed for the Pokemon trainer of each generation for Smash Bros instead they use Pokemon themselves as the rep & not the Pokemon trainers. On top of that, in Brawl the Pokemon newcomers were Lucario, from the latest gen, and Pokemon Trainer with Squirtle, Ivysaur, & Charizard; which those Pokemon have been prominent in Pokemon and they also include the latest Pokemon. If Pokemon can do that then why can't Fire Emblem do the same thing as well? i.e. Include the a character from the newest game and having characters from older Fire Emblem games as well.
Oh and;

Ike's design in Brawl was based on POR and not on RD. As for Robin and Lucina, their games were already released & hell people wanted Chrom as a fighter in Smash 4.

I actually did play XBX though and I enjoyed the shit out of it, my favorite part about it was the open world which takes the "You see it? You can go there", to heart and boy it it have a LOT of cool and interesting as fuck places to go. The worst part was the story because it was obvious that it was painfully unfinished. A good bunch of the music was crappy too.
The anons who skipped out on it are missing out on a lot of fun and should at least try emulating a uncensored version of the game.

I suppose, but one of the biggest issues I have with Smash these days has been that it's no longer just a celebration of Nintendo characters, with third party characters (some of which haven't even had their original games on a Nintendo system) being included before they've even run dry on their own. You can't even call them guest characters at this point, there's so many. And then there's the fact that they expect you to pay them even more money for them, even the characters Nintendo themselves own.

I would assume that with Pokemon, the mons are as much the focus as the player characters, and (ideally) allow for better variety in playstyles. Though, I wouldn't have been averse to them changing out Pokemon Trainer between games to subsequent protagonists than just FRLG's, but I'm aware Red's iconic to the series as the first of them, and Leaf didn't require coding/modelling/animating new mons.
