At times we get nostalgic about older games being great, but when we go back and play them we find out that some were not as memorable as we made it out to be and the glaring flaws start to unravel as you keep going. Other times you go back to a game you remember being absolutely horrible and give a second shot and then you realize how you might have given too quick of a judgement and now like it as you gave it a fair shot.

DmC is garbage when you compare it to every other DMC game, but above average mechanically compared to other action games because it's dumbed down DMC and that's still alright. There is a way you could potentially have fun with DmC's combat, even if the game goes out of it's way to make you not have fun. But other DMC games exist, so unfortunately DmC is garbage. Like, DMC 2 might be better, if our resident "guy who likes games with red and black edgy protagonists that aren't well liked" has anything to say about it. Dude wrote the only guide on DMC 2 on Steam, what a fucking mad man.
