A: Halo has always had black, hispanic, women, etc characters in major roles without it being a diversity pandering thing: Sergeant Johnson, Miranda, the Mexican marines, etc have been in the series since basically the start
B: Africa has a pretty major role in the mainline Halo plots, with the Covenant invading earth primary in Southern Africa since the Forerunner Portal to the Ark is located there; and nearly every mission in the series which took place on earth was in Kenya.

This is one of my issues with SJWs. The solution isn't map voting, it's more modular match search tools to define what sort of games and maps you get slotted into, and this is something 343i has started to try to do, such as sploitting up certain game-mode selections into finer categories, etc,

This is a big issue and it makes me sad nobody has really adknowledged it. Yeah, DMR starts havew gotten shit and thankfully that's been changed, and yeah, people whine about aim assist, but both are really symptoms of how Halo was designed with an analog stick for aiming with weapon balanced designed around that, and the switch to mouse aim disprporpoinately benefits precision weapons, which even on console were already dominant.
I could with a whole fucking essay on this and if people want me to I will, but Halo on PC really needed custom balance changes and Halo needs to change the way it handles weapon balance so autos aren't always designed as high spread low skill niche guns since it makes them fucking useless, even moreso on PC.

They've done good things, but for every 1 good thing they've done they've done like 1-2 bad things, and obviously people focus more on the bad then the good.
I could make a longer list if you want, but the main good things are most of their books are quite good, the storm rifle was a legitmately great weapon addition to the series, their weapon balance has been a step upo from bungie's especially in 5 pre-patch; as I said they do more community interaction, and 5's forge is absolutely god tier. They actually seem to care about getting the MCC PC port right, but obviously the execution hasn't been greaty, but the fact that they are seriously pursueing a lot of spewcific features even if they are tripping a bit is IMO commendable.

I'm certain there wasn't voting in Halo 3. It had a veto system, but not a voting system. I also don't recall there being a voting system in Reach either, just the same veto system.
My recollection of my experience with the veto system was rather good, I never felt like any map or gamemode was underplayed in part because people would get impatient after a few vetos and just go with whatever came up.

I haven't been following 343's interaction with console players that much, but most of their interactions with the PC community have been the result of them having no idea on how to handle the Halo franchise and having to defer to the community to figure it out for them.
Bungie's interactions were both direct and indirect, specifically rewarding players for beating them in matchmaking or making notable contributions to the Halo Community, and providing players with a wealth of stats on player's individual performance on individuals maps even, respectively, for example.

Africa is a continent comprising of many nations. Funny enough, even SJWs who claim to care about minorities confuse that as well. They care enough about Africa to attempt to pander to anyone with dark skin, yet don't care enough to learn about its nations, or that not everyone with dark skin is African. Oddly enough, I think I care more about Africa's widespread poverty than self-proclaimed socialists. I think we should cut off foreign aid to them completely, because gibs just force them to be lazy niggers. Without gibs, they're either be forced to economically develop on their own which will eventually lower birthrates, or they just start dying off because they can't farm. Either way, we get less starving niggers, so win-win. As long as they're on sustained gibs, they're stuck in perpetual poverty as there's no incentive to work for their own medicine, clothing, or food. I'm pretty sure they could have developed on their own by now if Jews didn't fuck over their continent for centuries. Yeah, they had tribal warfare and other shit that held them back, but they wouldn't be as far behind the rest of the world at least.
