it's an experimental server including the new sindusk wyvernmods release

server is still in development hell regarding testing all the various shit that needs to be quality tested. i'll make a thread beforehand when the server is going to go live.

add in some overworld points of interest

revisit mod settings for conflicts

investigate tower chaining bullshit and how to turn it on/off

rates are modified x3/x5 epic. im using the sindusk wyvernmod which has a skill rate curve as well as variable skill gain based on your sucess roll. before you ask, no i cant change the skill curve otherwise i would. if at any point it becomes detrimental i can disable the curve and edit the skill gain rates.

the epic effective skill stat is set to 0 so effective skill shouldnt have any effect besides visual.

if faith gains are uncapped, then if you get every single tick possible, that's 71 gains in a single day, which isn't very feasible for a normal player and just leads to a faith botting arms race

tile events needs to be enabled in wurm.ini (inside the map folder)

Once you get decent woodcutting, a lot of logs are still shit. If the village woodcutter goes out to collect high quality logs for the village and has to pick literally every log up instead of just the high quality ones, it is a huge waste of everyone's time. Those low ql logs are going to rot anyway because nobody wants them and then in a month you have near-permanent bsb's everywhere full of leftover garbage.

It sums in 'range' the weight of all felled trees, logs and trunks. It will ignore containers (and thus, the player/cart inventory) . Once there is at least X weight, it will slow down all tree cutting. Once there is Y or more, you cannot cut any more trees. So clean up your mess

Defaults to 14.1x exp with max gains of 5, but can be set for anything

14.1 comes from miss remembering 14.2 from >>16829420 and i don't wanna bother changing it and repack and reupload, max skillgain of 5 comes from my ass, but it's because the original max skill gain of 1 makes so that we would need 6 days to become a priest.

Not setting a max would make you go from lv1 to 1420 in the first time you pray, so don't put a big number there, the first level up will always fuck up.

It's a learn-as-you-go sort of game. The interface is less complicated than it looks, but it will scare you at first. What's going to happen is that you'll figure out what sort of thing you want to do, settle on grinding a general skill that will help you do so, look up information regarding the skill on Wurmpedia, get help from other players because you'll be frustrated you can't do everything, grind a more subset skill of that skill you've chosen, start working on your big project now that you're acclimated, and then do something silly like yo-yos. I already suggested once making so that resources on the server spawn localized, meaning that no QL99 iron ore spawns anywhere but X, and cedar trees never generate a QL99 log anywhere but Y, etc.

But everyone hated the idea, and since everything is available everywhere, you will never see trading in Wurm

I think a lot of it is attitude.

I agree generally one should not be botting their main character if they're presenting themselves as an honest player. This reminds me, last time around there was a certain lad that made a macro for brewing on a massive scale.

It would empty out at least 20 pottery bowls in one stove and nigh-instantly refill them using the ingredients to make tea to train the absolute fuck out of beverages. With enough stoves and autism you can have about 80 instances of pottery bowls of tea brewing at once.

I would like to know if this is an unfair advantage specifically requiring action, or if something that could be modded so all users could take advantage of or if it's not an issue at all.

As far as modding would go, maybe the booze making aspect of waiting around for your barrels to ferment, age, and even distill could spit out more exp passively and have the act of making the unrefined ingredients not give out so much exp. I don't fucking know, maybe make tea making drop off once beer becomes able to be made at a drinkable level? Make moonshine drinkable at any quality so niggers can make it instead of assloads of robot-made tea?

On a separate note, trellis grown shit seems to mature really fucking slow as compared to natural plants. fix this

You might need to get the SortMod source and modify one thing here or there, but most of the work is already done.

Get two containers that can't make tea on, put on stove

Get plenty of small containers that let make tea on.

Get the sort mod check if there is a empty 'tea accepting' container and fill it with the minimum amount of materials, make it also check for 'tea full' containers and drain them

Repeat forever for infinite gains

And unless you can kill someone with hot tea

This is a non issue, the same can be done to cooking

Training beverages is nearly exactly the same as cooking if you're doing tea, but it has a lot more involvement if you want to make booze. You cook the materials normally, then transfer it to a barrel and seal it with some shit and wait. Then if it's a hard liquor, you need to distill it using an even more involved process and bronze distilleries. This supposedly gives out passive exp in beverages every other tick, but it's really fucking low. I had suggested changing beverage exp gains to be more weighted towards this barrel aging/distilling part so it's more necessary to make booze en mass rather than the tea if you want beverage gains. This way it would be less about having a macro to make massive amounts of liquid at once, and more about having supplies that require other labors available to dump your slowly made ingredients into for refining.

With the sorting mod enabled, it seems like anyone with enough autism and supplies available can do massive tea making for gains. Though it does require modifying the sort mod to get high capacity robo-gains going. So doing it by hand if you don't know what you're doing with mods seems like how it will go.

If I remember correctly, it involved enabling the sort mod to change on the fly the sort rules, so first you have a rule to fill pans with materials for casseroles, then you load the rule to move casseroles from pans to cauldrons.

So it would go -> load config 1, run sort, load config 2, run sort, repeat (all of these can be bound to keys, and such keys can be pressed by a outside macro)

The default sort mod will put all ingredients in the first pan, and would not care if the pan is full or not or have anything at all, and would ignore all other pans. Then when one of the ingredients run out, you need to remake the config 1 to now move the new ingredient you are going to spend. Really bothersome

While I still have the modified sort mod, I lost all my config files.

I would've actually tried harder if high ql food meant anything.

If I remember correctly, a QL50 stew is all you need forever, and the food buff is just 5%, might as well worth 5% more rather than spend time min maxing food
