How widespread do you guys think hacking is in pro esports?
What kind of advanced hacks do you use or know of for CS:GO, League, Dota 2?
Now I know that the pros aren't actually "hacking" themselves by the true definition of hacking, they are cheating script kiddies that pay big bucks for actual crackers/hackers to program and sell cheating software/firmware.
I also realize that the pros are so good that they don't actually need the cheats to perform, but use them to win the big prize pools. Of course a few pros are really shit and those are the ones that get called out because they got picked up by an unknowing and naive team.
I guess pro cheating is like a closed club where everyone knows what is going on but keeps quiet about it, like tour de france doping shit right?

Serious competitions only use their own hardware. Drug use in e-sports and match fixing are more legitimate problems.

There was this one pajeet csgo player who tried to cheat at a LAN and when someone came over to inspect the poo's mouse and keyboard; he just wouldn't let them. Got disqualified for that
I know tournaments run by the Chinese are/were infamous for letting Chinese players get away with hacks and scripts.
Online tournaments/qualifiers have it happen fairly frequently. For example, a pooruvian dota player tried using armlet toggle scrpits to keep his health at just the right level to not die. He was caught after qualifing for a fairly big lan event and subsequently disqualified.

Letting players use their own keyboard and mouse is a big issue because they can have the firmware in the device flashed to inject scripts that allow for aimbotting and shit, but they do it really sly, like doing a sweeping motion and toggling the aimbot on during the big movement, during which you will see (if you slow it down) that the mouse "pulls" slightly and just coincidentally ends up pointing at an enemy's head through walls, so they know from that slight deviation there is an enemy in that direction.

First of all
> e-sports
Degenerate garbage. Playing games for money is the most deprived thing you can do; all love for the game is thrown out of the window. Second: your conjecture.
I watched your videos and some more of the channels, and I have to say, the evidence that he gives is well structured and makes technological and mathematical sense. I knew that CS:GO's competitive side was dwindling, but I this is the first time I see someone bring up the concept. Sure, the proof he gives is very well laid and I think he has a very strong point with the replays and the cursor following. What I think is interesting are three points here:
> development of the aimbot
To implement a good and undetectable aimbot, you need kernel-level implementation - which is hard to code. The OP of the video also mentioned this, where he states that the app costs multiple thousands for a single license. To create human movement, the Bezier curves have also some ingenious programming behind it to emulate human movement. There will always be a balance between Valve trying to prevent cheating in their online games and the aimbot devs trying to make the app run as quietly and undetectable as possible. This will continue, as it always has.
> Angry fanboys in the comments
Funny how a lot of kids are insulting both OP and the dude who is suspect, shows that there is a lot of hivemind in what I suspect are relatively young children defending their online hero.
> why pros use them
To finalize this, I'd like to point out again that the only reason pros use them is to make money, which throws all spirit of the game out of the window. Making money by streaming some EPIC 720 NOSCOPE gameplay or by winning tournaments with them - it doesn't matter to them as long as they can make money off of them.

Considering gaming? Yes. Pre-ordering, claiming you are a fan without playing the game, hating on games? Different things depending on how you look at them, but I'd argue that playing games just for money is depriving yourself of any true motivation to keep playing.

I make hacks for an mmo. It's fun. I am not exceptionally dextrously skilled so I use my intellect to surpass obstacles in game. I don't use it for a competitive advantage (there is no pvp in this game).

For League it are mainly scripts that make enemy spells and hitboxes much more clear and visible. This makes dodging enemy spells and subsequently beating / killing the enemy way easier. Only way to detect would be to watch the guy his computer from behind. So on an esports tourney you wouldn't get away with it.
Another was the auto dodging scripts for league or attack walking ones. They would make ur character dodge skillshots by reacting inhumanly fast or allow you to use perfect attack walking. However these scripts are detectable by Riot their in game client and likely gets you banned. Also higher rated players easily notice this one and will send tickets to riot to investigate.
