I just want to add that the factor knock-offs are usually made in the same factory. China's patent laws for manufacturers to reveal what goes into and the methodology to anything that is manufactured in a Chinese factory. Then relinquish 51% ownership of the company's Chinese branch to the Chinese Government (Meaning Gucci China is owned 51% by the Chinese Government who install a CCP official as the "President"). The non-Chinese manufacturer always attempt to subvert this by making the agreement that the factory is only a Manufacturing center and all sales must be sold through the overseas branch. Ultimately, what ends up happening though is the CCP company President will allocate a portion of the factory where they take the creative methodology that the manufacturer gave up to the CCP and then make a far cheaper version that they then sell directly out of the factory. I only know this because I my family business is a 25 year old automotive tool distribution company and I've seen first hand how so many great American Tool manufactures destroyed their own brands and reputation by moving to China in the 90s. If you're familiar with Milwaukee Tools they are the greatest example of how an American family owned company will slowly become a CCP owned subsidiary of the Chinese Government. Avoid made in China whenever possible even if it costs more to do so.
