Motion and wagglan controls were just a short-lived fad. VR flopped hard. Touchscreens are only good for gachashit. Gamepads are just tweaks of the Dual Shock. Keyboard and mouse still reign supreme. Ray-tracing is just marketing bullshit. Brainwave caps have been around since the Atari days and are still unreliable pieces of shit.

There's very little to actually improve with hardware you troglydite, and even presuming a meaningful change is made to hardware standards (which would already be nigh exclusive to controllers since even consumer hardware vastly outpaces the requirements of software {assuming it's optimized}) like say for example; adoption of the Objectively superior 6 facebutton model, grip buttons, accelerometer usage. It's ultimately up to developers to actually make meaningful use of the hardware (hint they won't)

Won't mean jack shit for games. The only thing quantum computers offer that's relevant to gaming is performing massively parallel computations, and all that means is you won't need a GPU to play Dwarf Fortress.

Most of them are games that don't use it. Yeah, so hard that companies continue to develop the hardware and games 4 years after the Oculus Rift's original release.
>Ray-tracing is just marketing bullshit
In it's current state? Yes. Because it's a hardware limited gimmick from Jewvidia. But when AMD releases their open source ray-tracing (as they've done with nearly every stupid hardware restricted gimmick that jewvidia develops) and when hardware gets to the point where what's considered budget/mid-range can run it, it'll become the norm.

Switch proves this is kinda wrong. There are a LOT of games I'd love to see ported from the DS as well, but correctly ported, like TWEWY, and touchscreens are nothing without digital/analog input anyway, is the use of the two simultaneously that makes it better. Plus literally having more than one screen.
Hardware have been stagnate for 10 years or so anyway.

You should not be signing up for a "ride" if you are prone to such things. Much like the many who couldn't handle Mission: SPACE or really anything of the sort. This is a fallacy and a pittance on a statistical level. If that anomaly include most gamers, however, sad as that seems, yes, you would be correct. You're talking to a cunt that got a kick out of rumble seats and eats salami sandwiches on the bow of the deck while everyone else be losing their breakfast. Reminder that the preorder of the steam machine sold out back in the day: http://archive.is/nvhRx
And look how the steam machine ended. Probability is, Valve releases that Half Life VR games and then leave the thing to root. Same happened with all their previous failures like the aforementioned Steam Machine or the Steam Controller, but Valvedrones will keep paying for them.
Likewise, there's a lot of VR shit still being sold, but it's stupidly niche. It's a big flop compared to all the noise it was making some years ago.

However, it isn't as mainstream as people thought it was going to be, and it sure as hell it isn't profitable. If you depend on your drones in order to keep yourself afloat, that's called a niche.
Valve constantly tries to appeal to niche, and even though it flops, they still makes the investment back because of drones.

I'm actually playing it right now, and of course, it would need A LOT of work, but the concept is pretty neat, it just need a few improvements here and there. I still think that the game can work faster for the touchscreen, but adding more elements to help such as with the UI and have more actual buttons input integrated would make the work better.

They already exist to some degree, but they won't really be useful nor realistic for the average customer.
There are tons of reason for that, but mainly quantum computers won't be much better at the kind of things the average person does. If you want to do extremely tedious mathematical calculations, that a quantum computer is great. If you want to play vidya, code and use the internet then you should stick with a classical computer.
Quantum computers also require being chilled to near absolute zero. This is cumbersome, expensive, delicate and quite dangerous.
This is what QCs look like, all of this is basically just a giant CPU.

So what you're saying is it flopped and they had to give them away because nobody wanted them. If the thing wasn't flopping then they wouldn't have to sell it for the price of a subway sandwich. Doesn't matter if they wanted a new model. When a new model comes out and companies phase out the old ones, they might slash the price, but they don't slash it 90% unless it was a complete turd.

>It's bad because my ham beast hands didn't let me play it well :(
You should have had a DS XL, but I doubt you are that bright not to mention that the XL models fucked up the aspect ratio and made games look bad when they were intended for small screensBut that's what hambeasts gets.

I don't buy countless hand cramp models just to cramp my hands you fucking idiot.
>>16818933
Why the fuck would I know, I softmodded mine. Last I heard you could still do that but the 3DS is like every new portable in that updates were released solely to fuck pirating.

And where the fuck does this "hamhand" shit comes from? All of my family has had problems with shitty handhelds and hand cramps, they're not designed for human hands in general past the gbc or gba since the designs are fucked from being wide thin plastic bricks.

You sound mad, handbeast. Lose a few pounds and try playing again.

You can't play DS games without a flashcart in the 3DS. CFW only works for virtual stuff including 3DS games but, as far as I'm aware, accessing DS mode was never possible directly in the 3DS without inserting a DS game in the console, in this case the flashcart.

This pretty much the main issue.

Nintendrones like you must be overweight and project their asses off if they love using hamhands as an argument, I guess Mark can attest to that.

Well, seeing how not even Mark or myself don't have problems with Nintendo handhelds, then you must be the problem, anon.

The 3DS(XL) family of systems indeed causes hand cramps. You sort of get used to it but it's still uncomfotable as fuck.

Your hands certainly don't, it can't be healthy for your arteries holding that shit for long periods of time.

I don't know, anon, I stopped using the 3DS a long time ago so I'm not up with the scene. If they managed to find a way to actually play DS games without flashcarts, then that's cool. Now if they could find new exploits for the fucking Switch, that'd be nice.
>The 3DS(XL) family of systems indeed causes hand cramps
Again, I wouldn't know, anon, I was more than happy with the regular DS lite and 3DS.

I misread. Good DS mode flashcarts are R4i Gold 3DS Plus, Ace3DS X, Ace3DS Plus. There are a few more, but I forgot their names.
By the way, the R4i-SDHC (RTS, RTS LITE 20XX, GOLD 20XX) cards are not worth it, they have time bombs that are set to expire in 2023. You can use ysmenu to bypass that, but at that point why not get a non-crippled cart.

>I've realize that people who shit on the touch screen are the ones that usually just emulate and never have had a DS/3DS
fuck off. if it didn't require constant cleaning and didn't scratch so easily maybe it would be worth using. The scratches are not normally visible, but if you flash a light with the screen off they show, and it only gets worse.

Scratching was mostly an issue with third party styluses, something you should do if you have a resistive touch screen (beyond, obviously jamming the stylus obscenely hard into it, or getting a screen protector) you should sand down the tip of the stylus to get it nice and smooth.

no fucking way in hell. I'd much rather buy a 2DS new than waste money on that shit.

guess I could try.
