In the original Mass Effect I used my character as a support/sniper. And by that I mean all I did was res my teammates, order them directly into enemy fire so the enemy would emerge from cover, and then snipe the enemy when it revealed itself. I treated those teammates like reusable decoys and meatshields and it was fantastic.
