GBF has a lot more grind but at least it varies a lot; make absolutely sure you join a guild if you want to play it. FGO's grind is comparatively less but it's all solo (friends are just there so you can borrow their characters) and never really changes any.
FGO makes you king if you can get a few very good characters, but the rates are abysmal and you might only get the chance to pull for certain characters once a year. GBF has a billion characters and primals so you end up doing your best with whatever you end up with, but the rates are better and they're very generous with pulls, often giving away free pulls during holidays.
Finally I don't think GBF actually as any content that's forever lost to new players, while FGO will not give new players a chance to get characters they gave out during previous holiday events.
Overall GBF is much nicer to new players but realistically speaking you must join a guild after a point. FGO is always solo.

Fate used to handle it's waifus well. Each person who summons a waifu got their own personal copy that would only last for as long as that copy does. Even if someone else is boning the same servant by True Name, because they're seperate copies it has nothing to do with your copy.
This all got thrown under the bus by FGO though, now Jeanne only thinks about that hot dragon dick, Nero and Tamamo still lust after Fate/Extra protagonist, and Medea still wants to be snake fisted.

F/go's summoning system is different then the ones in the other grail wars the meta reason they made it like this is because they want to nostalgia wank and /fgo is like the "smash" of the the series where all the characters and shit comes together like a more serious Chibichuki. In other works like strange/fake or redline the servants the rule is normally in place and so the servants don't recall their time with Gudao.
So when f/go ends the rules should go back to normal for the most part, although they maybe reluctant to use servants that where shipped in other works as main heroines (like Semiramis or Medea) due to not wanting to trigger their fanbases because their fans are likely fans of whatever ship. Just look at the colossal amount of asshurt that was generated in both reddit and nip twitter because Semiramis bond lines when she came out in JP, I didn't even think she wasn't even that popular to warrant it. It was only after the event's conclusion did we fine out she was bullshiting about her room line to Amakusa. This is another reason why those girls you listed remembered shit from other works.

This is probably the main reason Fate is so much bigger than Granblue. You can be an autistic faggot about Fate so much easier and there's such a wide pool of media to draw from.
Also I just genuinely like Grand Order's gameplay for the purposes of a mobile game. There are challenge quests for when I want to think or at least put some amount of strategy into it, but most of the time it's just a really casual grind. I don't have to make it the center of everything I do to stay high tier. And it all looks really good as they didn't pussy out with the chibi battle sprites which seem to be one of the major differences between it and almost every other gacha phone game

Another Eden and it's soundtracks beats both of em hands down. Gameplay is just jrpg turn battle though, and story is clearly the creators remembering the glory days of Chrono Trigger seeing as they're made by the same people.
Unfortunately the story really isn't anything to write home about and the grind gets irritating after a while but then that can be said of all gacha.

The properly sized battle sprites are a rarity in mobile games, so that does help a lot. The actual gameplay is also well-balanced in terms of thinking about whether you should build up NP meter vs. stars vs. damage and such (not so much in terms of characters, but whatever). It's easy to shit on but it's also easy to see why it's done so well for so long.

I never played gbf, but I played shadowverse and princess connect, both of them made by cy too and they been really generous on making sure that free to play players aren't pay to win and satisfying to play.
Princess connect even has automatic grinding for you, juss beat one level, then use the autogrind tickets to shit out 100 rewards that the level gets you.
