The games show that without people willing to go out and fight these monsters human society AND the local environment will suffer.

A Monster Hunter where you raise the monsters as mounts and battle helpers against packs of other monsters.
Like say you're on a hunt for a Teostra and a Lunastra, you issue commands for your Rathalos buddy to distract one while you take out the other, or mount it and fly away quickly to escape their big burst team attack or something.
The new thing that the monsters are migrating towards is a world full of really, REALLY good food that revitalizes monsters and makes them exceedingly strong due to some Elder Dragon or weird thing in the area making it so, and the monsters are so desparate for food that you can make friends with one by capturing one and pairing them off with others to make different breeds or variations, possibly automatically generated. Like pairing a Rathalos with a Legiana might give you an Azure Rathalos, or a red Legiana.
It'd require some experimentation and changes to the engine, might even be an entire new game, but hey? Might be cool.
Or just ask the Rune Factory guys to whip up something with a little support from the main team. They're already good at designing farming games and shit.
