The anime is currently being delayed till March.Quality concerns are the reason for the delay. Delays aren't unheard of, so perhaps things will turn out good.

Has anyone completed the event SP stage yet? I can't match the evasion requirement for Hard Mode, so I can't imagine how high the requirement for SP is. I'm collecting Hydraulic Steering Gears now, but is it necessary on harder maps to outfit every ship with them?

Didn't think someone would make an Azur Lane thread on /v/ and it would stay up. I'm on the Sandy server if anyone wants to friend me, UID: 201836246. Maybe the team would allow server transfers? You should ask them if you can move to another server. Friends don't seem to do much however; I think they may have something planned for friends or guilds later on, but don't hold your breath.
In regards to Crosswave, it does play like a more simple Armored Core. I have a feeling that they wanted to test the waters with what they wanted to make, but personally they should have gone the extra mile considering that the game technically takes place in a different timeline from the phone game.

It's called having self-control, simply understand the value of the thing which you are using.
If you spent 100 hours on the game and are relatively pleased with the time you've spent, then the game is worth (cheapo budget game's value).
Spend no more on any mobile game than you would on any PC/Console/Whatever game reflective of the quality of the content. Which, it's a mobile game, it's not worth much.
Pay only AFTER you've gotten your money's worth, then there is no sunk-cost fallacy, it's money you've already gotten value out of.
Incidentally, AzurLane is one of the cheapest Gacha to play because they basically drown you in the draw-tickets and they give you enough of the premium currency to have plentiful character slots.
Where they gouge your wallet is the character skins, and seriously there's little to no point in actually buying those.

AL really is one of the most forgiving gacha games out there, which works really well for f2p anons. A number of ships are map drop only like the fox sisters and it looks like we’re going to be getting a bunch of reruns this year as well. I’m betting they make a shit ton of money on skins, which is why they can afford to be so friendly with drops. They regularly give players a shit ton of resources as well. FGO has been really friendly to players this Christmas, which has been abnormal for them, but normal for AL. I can’t speak for GFL and GBF. I wonder if competition in the gacha market is heating up?

W13 is here and good luck to those attempting it. It looks like there are 3 types of ships, with enemy command ships being the most dangerous. Then there are healer, and AA ships. Repair ships are tougher and heal enemy ships. AA ships will neuter your airstrikes.
It looks like a new event is on its way soon. That also means more shipgirls, and event skins. On the topic of skins, a truckload of them will be released with the Chinese New Year.
