Speedrunning this game is asking for trouble. Even if you put the game on its weakest settings and equipped the armor and used the smoothie potions that make running easier/increase run speed, and cheese all the fit battles, you're still looking at DAYS of gameplay. I've owned the game since launch, I'm on day 32, and I'm probably halfway through the adventure mode.

You would literally have to be a marathon runner and bodybuilder with a support team over your shoulder to do this, and you wouldn't get to world 6 before needing a break.

The exercise isn't bad, it's more than you'd expect out of a 'fitness game', but it doesn't quite rise to the level of paying for a gym membership or a personal trainer. It's also not as expensive as a gym membership or a personal trainer, and it can be more entertaining. The exercise itself is also entirely customizable outside of adventure mode, and even within it to a degree (you can pick which exercise abilities you use, and the game sorts them by type and muscle group).

The game portion of RFA is pretty surprising, too. I had very weak expectations for this game going into it I bought this game on launch, and I don't regret it; I don't know what bizarro world I live in right now, but it's turned out to be much more entertaining than I expected; there are plenty of classic, albeit simplified, RPG elements:

>enemy weaknesses

>leveling statsgains

>equipment with set bonuses

>consumable smoothies

>combat buffs/debuffs

>skill tree

You deal more damage the more consistently you do your exercises properly, which is supposed to encourage good form, and not all of the exercises can be cheated. There's also more than one actual boss you fight throughout the game, but I won't spoil anything other than the fucking bodybuilder dragon asshole.

The music is also really good. I was surprised, but music is a great motivator for exercise, so there's that.

Formerly fat person here, working out does shit for weight loss. It's a scam by the food industry so they can keep selling you their junk and make you feel like it's your fault for being fat. Yes goy, you can eat anything you want, you just have to exercise it off. Calories in, calories out, I'm your greatest ally.

Get your diet straight and you will see the weight drop on its own. The first thing to get rid of is sugar, drop it like it's rat poison. Go cold turkey, no cheat days. And don't give me that "just one small piece" crap. Once you are slim you can have a piece of cake, like once or twice a year maybe. It sucks, but that's your new life now, suck it up.

Once you are over the initial shock it's time to get rid of all the hidden sugar. Even food that does not taste sweet has added sugar for various reasons (for conservation, because sugar is subsidized, to stretch it cheaply, and of course to get you addicted). Sugar is a drug, it has no nutritional value. Cut that shit out.

Now comes the last part: lower your carbohydrates. Sugar is a type of carb, and all carbs make you fat. Carbs are not an essential nutrient, they are emergency fuel for when you cannot get fatty meat. There is nothing wrong with carbs by themselves, but they are not meant to be your main fuel. Go for fatty meat and non-starchy vegetables.

And contrary to what you might have been told, fat does not make you fat. Fat is good. I have been following common advice and been eating low-fat, and it has just made me fatter. It wasn't until I started doing the opposite, eating fatty freshly prepared meat (not the processed frankenfood) that I actually started getting into shape.

Workout is still a very good thing and you should be doing it, but it will not help you lose weight. Fix your diet first and you will find that workout starts being enjoyable instead of being self-torture. It feels so good to be thin, it's like I have received a new body.

I meant the added sugar in processed food of course. Do I have to spell everything out exactly? Also, the sugar in fruit is not magically healthy somehow, it's just that the other components of the fruit (especially the fiber) act as anti-nutrients which slow down the absorption of the sugar. The greatest redpill in foods is understanding that "calories in, calories out" is extremely oversimplified and that you can deny it, even without denying the laws of thermodynamics. Things like metabolism and insulin can determine how much of the food(calories) you store, and how much you burn, so if you eat 1000 calories, you might burn 800 and store 200 or burn 200 and store 800. Now the kicker is that some foods will influence this, especially carbs and insulin, thus eating 1000 calories of high processed carbs is nor the same thing as eating 1000 callories of protein. A calorie is NOT a calorie.

From what I looked at and tried, the best way is to do keto + Intermitent Fasting(IF) and then going into keto + One Meal A Day(OMAD). Not all people can easily transition from three meals a day to just one. In regards to keto, it doesn't meant, eat bacon and cheese, you need healthy fats, such as nuts, seeds, olive oil, salmon, avocado, and maybe butter. You also need to eat a lot of green vegetables, salad, spinnach, cabbage, cucumber, for those vitamins and fibers, as the keto diet is both high in fats, but high in fiber as well, otherwise you get problems with digestion, the "keto flu" and kidney stones(also drink one glass of raw, freshly squeezed by you, lemon juice in the morning).
