Pathologic 1 was pretentious, overly convoluted and surrealist garbage in addition to being unplayable from the gameplay standpoint. I know that the sequel was improved in terms of gameplay, but is the story any different?

deadly premonition is twin peaks through a weird japanese filter, I had to drop it halfway through because the PC port is terrible, the cat lady is an old fashioned adventure game about a miserable cat lady, it's fun at times but the final boss is literally a mean intewnet twoll.

I haven't played any others, but fuck Soma.
It's basically a pretentious borderline walking sim that tries to be smart, but the devs obviously don't understand the topic enough to make it interesting.
I can remember maybe three or four points in the whole game with an actual enemy, there isn't a lot of gameplay.

At least it's an spin off in the same universe rather than actual outlast 3. Though the first two were more interesting than actually scary.

If you're going to go through that much bullshit then just emulate the PS3 version of the director's cut. Apart from a few graphical glitches it is more stable than the PC port.
