In Persona 2, I love the way characters reposition themselves and move around the battlefield when using attacks. Most turn-based RPGs (including Persona itself from 3 onward) tend to have everyone have a designated position they have to be at all times – when they lunge to attack, they gotta run/flip back there afterward for example. Having everyone actually stick where move to helps really sell the idea of the fight being an active brawl where the situation is constantly changing, and it's one of those aesthetical things that make it just a little more unique to me, if only because I don't know many RPGs that do the same thing.

In Skyrim, while standing next to a hunter's campsite, I was going through my inventory and dropped a heavy iron shield to make more room for myself. As I started walking away the hunter got up, walked over to the shield that I dropped on the ground, yelled "hey I think you dropped this", and chucked the shield back at me as if annoyed at my littering his campsite with trash. One of the few moments when an NPC almost appeared to think for itself and wasn't just a zombie there to walk in a circle and dispense a single line of dialog.

Wild Arms 3 and ACF have that, which works out especially well with the former, being that the entire party uses guns: visually, running around is better in such a world than being a sitting duck.
On that note:
>Boss fights with the Schrodingers.
>One member has a afro.
>Hitting him with fire damage will ignite it.
>Has a damage per turn effect for the rest of the fight.
It's the little things.

Why are JRPGs so dead set on putting me to sleep with redundant dialogue, overplayed animations and cutscenes that spend half an hour to tell you something that could have been told with 3 sentences and have the same emotional weight to them?

Replaying ff7 for something like the fifth time, I realised that holding down the circle button does the same as mashing it. Playing it on emulator, holding down circle and turbo every battle made random encounters so much easier to handle. In general, if the fighting system isn't very engaging, any kind of auto battle.

Devs say that isn't possible anymore because there are so many small details in today's graphics nowadays that the small details they used to be able to put into games wouldn't fly anymore and would cause the game to crash and burn. Whether or not that's truthful is debatable.

>semi-automatic rifle
>rifle
>squad automatic weapon
Those are words that aren't assault rifle but I'm sure you've learned what an assault rifle is from common media. I will go ahead and spoil it for you - 7.62x39mm cartridges can be fired from hundreds of guns, and not even half of them are classified as an assault rifle. Guns that fire 7.62x39mm cartridges can appear without stocks, with pistol grips, or with barrels of various lengths. A pistol that fires 7.62x39mm cartridges isn't an assault rifle because it fires the same cartridge as an AK. You will likely not find anything by searching for "intermediate cartridge revolver" because revolvers do not fire things like 7.62x39mm cartridges. Intermediate cartridges are designed, for a large variety of reasons, to eject from the gun when you pull the trigger. Revolvers are not designed to eject brass every time you pull the trigger, otherwise it wouldn't be a goddamn revolver. So the obvious answer to why you couldn't find any "intermediate cartridge revolvers" is because they don't exist, and seeing as you probably knew that from your previous posts, I cannot fathom why you are posting.

The BFR disagrees with you. It would be absolutely trivial to chamber a revolver in 7.62x39mm.
>Intermediate cartridges are designed, for a large variety of reasons, to eject from the gun when you pull the trigger. Revolvers are not designed to eject brass every time you pull the trigger, otherwise it wouldn't be a goddamn revolver.
Revolvers can be chambered for rimless cartridges and work just fine if you use clips. I'm no expert on this stuff but even I can tell you're full of shit.

Caseless ammunition is the answer to a question that nobody's been asking except for militaries, and militaries don't tend to use revolvers very often. Besides, the big advantage behind caseless is that it allows for higher rates of fire, which isn't a concern for revolvers.

In Monster Hunter World, whenever Coral Pukei Pukei uses his midair water spray attack, you see rainbows where it hits the ground.
Also, in Iceborne, you can watch the Palicoes (cat creatures) work in the kitchen, and there's a full and accurate animation cycle of one of them making bread.
When you aim your camera at your Palico or Handler long enough, they make a pose.
When your stamina is zero, your character stops and sweats heavily.
In The Last of Us and Uncharted, when you walk too close to a wall, characters put their hands on the wall to not hit it.
In The Last of Us, you see dust on the camera when light shines directly on it.
In Uncharted 4, when a rock rolls down a hill, it hits other rocks, which hit more rocks, and cause a landslide.
In Uncharted 3, sand runs down hills when you walk on them, and your footsteps fill with sand right after leaving them.
In Siren the Blood Curse, running characters can stumble over obstacles on the ground. Walking on glass causes noise. Gunshots during thunder aren't heard by enemies. In one mission, you can see unnecessary tiny details when you take your time and look carefully, like a spider coming down from a lamp from the ceiling.
In Nier Automata, you can basically remove your character's mainboard, killing him or her.
There's one game, I forgot which (it might be Killzone Shadow Fall), where you can look through bulletholes, or light goes through them.
Stranglehold has incredible damage physics. When you shoot a computer into pieces, you see the graphic card, the main board, the drives etc. falling out.
Resident Evil 2 (Remake) has incredible damage on the zombies. You can shoot through several layers of skin until the face is unidentifiable mush. If you damage a body part enough, it slowly falls off. Clothes disappear in fire or acid. You can shoot the body enough to see ribs, and even further to see through the wounds.
There is a game where recoils can hit you when you stand directly at a wall, I think it was Half Life 2.
Tekken 7 characters sweat more and more during the fight.

In Metal Gear V and Uncharted 3, NPCs holding flashlights at your face actually obscures your view. Also, your horse takes a crap from time to time.
In Stranglehold, if you shoot a water tank or a barrel, water runs out from the holes.
In Bioshock, there is a room where water leaks in. It actually fills with water, and it takes a few minutes.
In the survival horror game Illbleed, if you're wounded and walk through open water, you slowly freeze to death as your heartrate drops. To raise your heartrate, you can read dirty magazines.
In the Dragon Ball Budokai series, Goten misspells "Kamehameha" as "Kamekameha", which is a very obscure detail from the anime.
In Undertale, when you kill Toriel, then reset the game, Flowey taunts you because you resetted the game out of regret for killing her, but he remembers.

In Super Mario Sunshine, if Mario is wet or jumps into water, the drops and splash can wash dirt away.
In Metal Gear Solid 4, rolling or circling too much causes you to vomit.
In Wario Land 4, crouching slows the music down a tiny bit. Getting flattened distorts it. Running turns it faster. There is one stage where the background track changes depending if you're underwater or not. Music gets muffled in one stage when you enter a cave. Amazing.
Finally, which is less a detail from the game itself, but a technical restriction: In Duke Nukem 3D, whenever you swim and use the crouch button to dive down, you're actually teleported to another room which is the underwater area. The water surfaces are basically teleporters.

Same thing happens during the Flexile Sentry bossfight in Dark Souls 2. The water level can rise enough to slow and even kill the player. Of course it's a very slow rise and the boss is not particularly difficult. Most people will either win or die long before the water becomes an issue.
