While Discord was expected to hand over the information, fucking cuckchan just gave away their users anonymity allowing them to be sued by Nintendo. It is very true. It was mainly animefag mods and mods who were ponyfags that caused most of the trouble in the old days of 8chan, just like they did in the old days of 4chan. To play devil's advocate, any website would have to comply with a subpoena. The question is WHETHER it's valid, whether they IGNORE invalid ones, and assuming it's valid, HOW they comply. The real problem with discuck and the like is they store EVERY FUCKING THING, FOREVER, they also aggregate their data meaning they'll faggots will give LE way MORE information than is necessary (LE can take everything and spin it any way they want and stack the deck against you, among other things).
Not to mention of course these companies' lifeblood is the sale of your info, and the risk of your data getting misused (e.g. disgruntled employee snooping, receiving inferior service depending on what you do, say, or like, haywire AI (or even staff) flagging/banning you because of some arbitrary phrase you said or misconstruing the facts, or jumping to conclusions based on other unrelated information they have on you, risk of stuff getting sold to some unscrupulous fucks in asia/eastern europe, hacks and breaches, etc.)
