Playing Cortez.
Pros:
Backgrounds animated with pretty good sound, you can hear the rain off the glass in the office for example.
Playing as the Ventrue, there's 2 points so far where I've had bad tasting blood where as if I played as Brujah, I wouldn't have a problem. It's sticking with lore at least. Make that 4 now, bad blood is everywhere.
It is a linear story I think but it does give you chances to use disciplines and to drink from people.
Cons:
3 clans to choose from, Brujah who's an anarchist, Ventrue who's an ice-queen business woman, Toreador who's a black "artist".
Got a bad ending where a "But Thou Must swear fealty to the lady in red to continue the story." Even deleted my character.

Facial recognition would be bad too, eventually you'd have matches and when comparing two faces 50 years apart you'd see no changes. Leading to some weird questions. Not being on camera wouldn't work because someone would record the vampire and then see they were gone and realize something was up. Weird cases like what if the vampire eats something, does the food disappear when it's in his hand, or in his mouth?
Seems like the only way it could work is if the vampires were working to either create their own states so they could avoid those issues by just not having cameras, but that opens up other issues like needing to constantly change and age your leaders to pull the wool over other nations so you'd need human puppets or something. Possibly just be open about being vampires and go to war and hope to win. Or avoid creating a vampire states and attempt to "reset" civilization back 2000 years or something.
Which actually could be interesting if different factions had different ideals on how to solve the crisis of cameras. What does modern Vampire even do, if anything, about this issue?

It flips the idea on its head by making it so the conspiracy isn't done by the monsters or some inherent fact of how the supernatural works. Most vampires cannot handle eating anything. Anything other than blood tastes utterly repulsive to them and they just straight up cannot swallow it. Even for vampires that can muster the willpower to actually swallow anything will need to throw it back up sooner or later.

In VTM vampires have normally have reflections.
The only exceptions to this are Clan Lasombra vampires and vampires with "Cast No Reflection" Flaw.
It has nothing to do with composition of mirrors. Lasombras and CNR vampires straight up do not cast reflections at all, weather it be in a mirror or in a puddle of water.

So finished it. Spoilers
You spend 2 weeks going around the city which is enough for half the activities/companions you can help.
They help in exactly once scene, where you're abducted by Second Inquisition agents and are never heard from again.
The main plot points is that the local Cammie Prince has enthralled the Anarch Baron through a Blood Bond and is using that to keep the status quo. Naturally, Sophie learns of this and gets a local Anarch figure to go kill them. They then take their respective places and the game begins again.
Except, a guy you meet at the beginning, Thomas Arturo, has Blood Bonded the Prince as well. The Anarchs fight it out and fall into the Hudson, A Malk who was stalking you appears behind Sophie, goes "nothing personal kid" and decapitates her with garden sheers. Thomas then goes "You'll make a good asset" and offers me his wrist and the game ends there.
Adoptive Sire dead, although she was prodded by Thomas to stop my execution in the first place, doing 4 missions for companions that didn't do dick in the long run to help me. Didn't even get to interact with everyone of the night, just accelerates things after 2 weeks and calls it an ending.
It also glitched out, I got attacked supposedly one night by some Anarch goons but it just skipped over that.
The thing is, I was starting to get into this. Sophie is a great replacement Sire and I'm not just saying that cause she's Toreador. She provides a pillar of stability, even if she does give you a haven, contacts and a ride. It's something this would have over Bloodlines in that you have someone who can help you get use to the world of darkness.
I know it's new world of darkness and all but I was starting to become immersed in it. There were no overt SJW influences that I could find and I was liking the backgrounds and general atmosphere of it. It's more a VN than game really and it's only about 5 hours long, which is way too short for this type of thing. I'd easily play a 20 hour game like this with no problem.
Overall? Thumbs down, a few good characters and art, let dow by weakstory line with no ending.
Imagine if Beckett was killed by La Croix then he dominated you into becoming his agent, that's what the ending feels like.

I disagree that social media ruins vampires or that it's hard to have vampire story in a modern era.
First of all, not all vampire stories need to have vampires be an unknown entity, they can be part of actual society. True Blood worked like that, and they even had an interesting plot point of this drink made for vampires that simulated human blood, but didn't need actual human blood, kinda like soy burgers for vegans. So vampires didn't need to kill/hurt humans to eat, but they were still more powerful than regular humans, plus their blood was like cocaine for humans, so they would still be hunted by humans. There's also "Interview with the Vampire" which I haven't seen, but reading the wikipedia article, it's basically that, some dude claims he is a vampire and gives an interview. I guess there is also Tokyo Ghoul, where the people know about the ghouls, but rarely interact with them, and mostly the special police deal with them.
Second of all, some argue that you can't have vampires running through society secretly killing people, again I disagree, since there are spies and hitmen even in our world. Even when people have cameras with them, others get killed and their death made it look like an accident. Hell with plastic surgery, you can have the vampire keep changing his identity every 30 or so years, change his name, bribe an official and he will burn the records, so there won't be a problem where some dude looks just as young as he looked 300 years ago, just change his face.
You could also go for the elder vampire type of story, where there are a few vampires, that are a few thousand years old, control most of finances, hollywood, government, but never really interact with the cattle, they just have an army of ghouls that can walk in daylight an do their bidding. They could basically control anything, without even interacting directly, so social media is not a problem, besides that some people would talk about how a group of people like sucking the blood of babies penises and sell the foreskin on the market, but those people are shut down.
Also, even if someone were to film a vampire jump 30 feet in the air, or suck the blood from some other dude, and post it on the internet, 99% of the people would call it fake and gay, 0.5% would be larping on /x/, 0.25% are elder vampires and want it shut down and the other 0.25% are the anti-vampire police who will be dispatched. Just because you film something and post it on the Instagram, doesn't mean it will be taken seriously. Strange wounds on the neck? Doctor Goldstein said it's a weird disease and not to worry about, or that they are just spider bites, and not worry about.
