Hi /v/. A few weeks ago I made a thread asking for what questions to ask the developers of the Postal series, Running With Scissors. Since I know it has been difficult getting Q&As to happen on this board I collected questions /v/ would like to ask them and then sent them over to the dev team. Above is their responses to the questions.
In the future I would like to do more of these and see what developers we would like to Q&As with.

Here is the transcript. Again I want to try to make this a regular thing if you guys are up for the idea. I know using a 3rd party to do the interviews rather than this site or vch isn't ideal compared to having them come here but it definitely makes asking questions a lot easier.
Why did it take so long for us to get a sequel to Postal 2 (not counting the DLCs)?
>When you are a TRULY independent studio that lives off of your own royalties you have to pick your projects carefully. POSTAL 4 is and was always going to be a big project, and when we put the team together for Paradise Lost we didn’t have the experience together to roll forward on a completely new title. Then we redid POSTAL in Unreal 4 which was a really good learning experience on the new engine, we then worked on a different IP within the VR realm for a little while before finally deciding it was worth spending every last dollar on our baby.
How feasible do you expect modding of this game to be compared to 2?

Do you feel controversy helps, hurts or has negligible effect on a game’s sales? Do you feel controversy affected the Original postal games sales wise?

I think what set Postal 2 apart from many games of its time and even many games today is how the game gave players ability to make their own goals or solve the goals the game presented in any way the player saw fit. Seeing the trailer for Postal 4 and watching gameplay of it, it seems this philosophy is being carried over to 4. Was this a purposeful consideration when designing postal 4 and if so how do you plan on expanding on it?
>Absolutely, there is a reason that POSTAL 2 has a 95% user score on Steam and still sells tens of thousands of copies a month to this day. Infinite replayability, relatively timeless humor and RWS own labor of love have made POSTAL 2 the cult classic that it is. POSTAL 4 is looking to take the torch and hopefully bring the POSTAL brand to console as well!
Will a pacifist run be viable in Postal 4?
