Alright /v/ post games that you actually want sequels for, bonus points if you explain what could be done to improve upon said game's systems, combat, etc.

I want a new PS2 Shinobi game. The games on PS2 were a fine template, but there were plenty of things that could've been improved, namely

>larger enemy variety

>larger, open ended, vertically oriented levels

>more boss battles that require different strategies to defeat

>more ninpou/ninjutsu/weaponry/abilities

>a more robust combat system with complex enemies that must be defeated in different ways

>more side content and game modes

I think the combat system in this game is fine, but it'd be even better if the 殺陣 killstreak could only be executed on certain enemies, or when certain conditions apply. Maybe there could be certain enemies that must be defeated Sekiro style, with a series of well timed parries. Maybe we could have a super transformation that would allow the protagonist to do a 斬奪 like in MGR that would consume an enemy's Yin and sate the Akujiki's appetite. Maybe you could switch between different weapons that would operate in different ways; Akujiki's soul consuming mechanic would not be applicable to another weapon that would do parries, etc. Point is this is a series that has a lot of potential to be a fantastic 3D action game, yet Sega just doesn't give a shit about it anymore. It's sad.

Mercenaries.

I know there was already a second one for the 360, but it was a piece of shit buggy rushjob that killed the series. I want a proper sequel. The closest I can find to a modern game that plays like Mercenaries are either the Just Cause games (which suck and are filled with lolrandom reddit humor) and MGSV.

>Allow unlocked Haunters to be re-used on replays of past levels, seriously why the fuck do you need a mod to do this, it should have been in the base game

>Have an actual fucking budget this time so it doesnt run out of money 50% of the way through development, leaving the game a buggy, rushed mess

>Have the stylistic tone be more "moody & edgy" like in the original concept art, rather the more simplistic tone we got in the final version. Im aware graphical and budget limitations were a thing, but still.

Hell I would even settle for a remake with the cut content added back in and fleshed out, if not an actual sequel.

>transmorgify gear so you can get good stats as well as fashion
