I can completely understand why most people hate Xenos.
His character is pretty one dimensional, and that is fine, he's a mirror of the most primal part of the WoL, the problem is that that the game builds him up as this colossal foe and he doesn't even get his own trial, the other problem is that he overstays his welcome, the motherfucker is still alive.
Maybe they are planning something nice for the next expansion, maybe having WoL and Xenos team up to deal with the Ascians so that Xenos can have his hunt, but as he stands right now he's just an annoyance.

DeSu1 was great because you got to see the aftermath of your choices and even fix them if you picked a bad one, the rest of the changes were just more build variety, demons and quality of life improvements, as well as the optional voice acting. Funny enough it was less lazy than what they've done for P5R.

I personally like him because his dialogue is entertaining and most of the cutscenes with him are cool. The design of him is also cool with the armor and revolving katana barrel thing. People think he's gonna end up like a Vegeta-type character and that may possibly happen, seeing as how he stopped Varis from deploying the black rose. It'll also align with Garleans redeeming themselves like Nero and Gaius did.

The only things I really liked out of FFXIII were Caius and the music. Then Caius ends up being beaten by Noel and Lightning's annoying little bitch sister, despite Caius beating Lightning in the first game. Then in the third game Lightning is given more plot armor and beats Caius cuz reasons. The music more or less stayed the same.

I played ffxiii when it first came out and really liked it.
I found the game very cozy, actually. This game was one of the first PS3 games I played and I was really impressed from everything including the sound design, the music, the atmosphere, the graphics, backdrops, the world, etc. I hear every criticism about the game being very linear and playing itself, but being very autistic I overlooked all of those and found myself really enjoying the game.
I don't really remember anything about the story except Sahz is s black man who abandoned his son, Hope is a fag, and Snow made the greatest quip of dramatic irony ever about Hope's dead mom.
