Whats the "limit" on how much terrible things you can do in game? I see that there are rarely any games with hardcore violence, most of it is quite cartoony, and that games rarely feature hardcore themes like drugs, pedos, human trafficking, corruption, torture,etc.

I guess it depends how much money you have, and how prevalent it is. One of the GTA 4 expansions(the one with the motorcycle gangs), had a naked character in a cutscene and you could see his penis, but only for a second, and in RDR you could see the hairy vagina of a mexican woman, but only for a second.

On the other extreme you have very "realistic" games, with a more sombre atmosphere, where there might not be as much blood as some other games, but the way the game feels hits closer to home, they are usually more shocking to the average normalfag, games such as Hatred or Manhunt, which got an AO rating(I am not saying they deserve this rating, this is not the subject of discussion).
Somewhere in between you can have games with lots of blood, gore and tits, but it never feels "realistic" enough:so it gets the M rating, examples being God of War or Dragon Age Origins.

Did you even play the game? The whole reason his sister kills herself when you manage to meet her before she's killed is because he makes a disgusted face, and then can't even look her in the eye when it's revealed that she desires him carnally.
