How many of these game do you think are actually good games? Meaning that they're not simply carried by their fanservice. I enjoyed the Senran Kagura series but it always felt one step behind the cusp of becoming great. Estival Versus and Deep Crimson were definite upgrades of the games they followed. Maybe Seven would have had what the games were missing but that game is in development hell after the Sony censorship shut them down and Takaki left.
One of my biggest problems is how much they didn't take from Deep Crimson. That game added weapon skins, talisman system gave you passives, new status effects, unique team attacks, a shadow mode that made sense, a movement option that doubles as invincibility frames, and a gauntlet with multiple boss setups. Also the girls had different models instead of slightly stretched models. The boob sag was also the best I've seen in the series. It did so many things right but they barely took any of that and expanded upon it.

About every single time I'm left marvelled at how lewd they make them under the constraint of console games, and yet how little they push the ideas to what should've made them into good games in their own right. The only one I'd consider somewhat good is Akiba's Trip 2 and even that is a mixed bag, on top of its meme-tier localization.

It is a real shame because these type of games are dumb fun. However having not being a quality game also hold back my enjoyment. Dungeon Travelers 2 is what happens when you put talented devs under the supervision of lewd directors.

This, but unironcially. I tried playing one of them and it was decent combat with cute girls in skimpy outfits, but two things heavily turned me off from the whole franchise. First, their tits are fucking weird. They're often not shaped like tits, but large perfect hemispheres hardly effected by gravity. They look weird and lack any heft, in addition to not doing middling sizes very well. Secondly, this series' games are DLC nickel & dimed out the ass for overpriced cosmetic items. It fucking terrible, just a hop away from lootboxes. If you want to spend more to donate to the devs, that's what merchandise is for. Most of this this cosmetic shit should either be way way cheaper and in much larger bundles than I've seen, or should have been unlockable in the game. But otakus and weeaboos will spend hundreds on this shit because "muh dick".

Tamsoft was clearly riding their unexpected success into the ground. They rightfully bitched about censorship but this is a blessing in disguise for the franchise, if they sit on it for a few years and bring it back with an actual engine update it could do well.
Yumi being popular is supposedly because her voice actress is really cool about the role and has fun in radio interviews and such, we don't hear any of that over here.

Well that explains it. Her actual character in the game is pretty lame for the most part. She feels the weakest, story/personality wise, out of all the 4 school leaders. Hell, I still think Miyabi is the best out of the 4.

Absolutely. I think PC and Switch made things like fall death more lenient, and obviously they're translated so you can know what's going on but they didn't fix much more than that from what I've seen and it's a disgusting waste. Even if you like the Bullet Girls games (I do too) this is bad. As for mods, Vita saw a menu translation + optional de-censor/nudity. Nothing special but PC could see the same thing.

Wasn't that DLC? I'm 99% certain that they don't actually review DLC in spite of saying they do. IIRC one of the portal Phantasy Star Universe games had a DLC Bikini that was on par with an outfit from Dead Or Alive volleyball games.
