Nintendo Switch sure is becoming the new Playstation Vita, huh. In anycase Trails of Cold Steel 3 is coming to the Switch in 2020. It's gonna be locked at 720p at 30FPS, but I don't think it matters so much since I played these games at 10FPS on Playstation NOW. I'm just hoping they don't fuck up the localization like they did with Ys 8, but who the hell knows at this point.

The game is already out on PS4, you can see the localization for yourself. It's ok. Lots of typos, especially in late game quartz descriptions, but nothing stood out to me as being as cancerous as I expected it to be.

Whatever it is Sony has in store in the future, there more than likely won’t be a successor to it or a direct competitor to the Switch, apparently they were never that big into the idea of moving into the handheld market. Damn shame, given the utterly wasted potential to bring something different and fun to the table, but it’s no big surprise given the direction they’re heading in.

Anon, what do you want me to say? The translation is fine. I played the whole thing, NPC dialogue and all and didn't come across anything that got my dander up. I got a healthy dose of reality last year when I played Ys 8 and Tokyo Xanadu back to back to see what Falcom without XSeed would look like and found that TX's translation was infinitely worse. CS3 isn\t quite up to the XSeed standard but it's a way closer facsimile than anyone could have guessed. I don't like NISA, anon, but I think the chances of Falcom parting with them at this stage are very remote. They've given Kondo way more support than he's ever had in the west and CS3's release went over well here. There was no big controversy this time because there was nothing to find like there was with Ys 8. As I said earlier in the thread there are ways to play the games without giving NISA money, but that's the most you can do.

Some do and some don't. This was true in the other arcs do. Some character's just didn't really have progression and stayed the same throughout. It's a bit more noticeable in Sen because the cast is more bloated. In OG Class 7, the characters that changed the most were Machias, Jusis and Fie I'd say. Gaius and Emma got off-screen power-ups but that's not really the same as development you see. Elliot becomes a bit less meek but it's not a huge change. Laura is basically always the same. Alisa becomes less bitchy and more of a dere type I guess? Nu Class 7 on the whole has much better on-screen development than the original did.

It was mainly balancing fixes for enemies and classes, some minor QOL improvements, some extra post content and resizing the dungeons making them less monotonous. Basically smoothing out the rough edges, giving players more of a chance to mess around with team building while cutting out some tedium.
