If anyone cares I had my VPN account no longer work a few days ago. The account login info has changed or the account was terminated. I just started playing Doom 2016. I just got the part where I got the chainsaw and so far it's not been fun at all. Am I missing something with doom 2016? Every fight just ends way too quickly, enemies spawn in like ones or twos, at most I've seen four none zombie enemies at one time and the none-arena combat zones are completely fucking empty of enemies or anything interesting. Nioh has both high and low attacks just like souls it's just mapped to square and triangle instead of R1 and R2. It doesn't have off hand controls because it's taken up by block and ranged weapons stuff. There's actually a lot of similarities between Nioh and Bloodborne now that I think of it. The controls are just all scrambled around.

Depends on the movement options to be honest. I got as far as that laughably shit Double Jump before quitting because I read "thrust boots" and thought I'll get a vanquish-styled dash or something, not a fart of a double jump. And it's one of those shit double jumps that you must use in quick succession otherwise the double jump gets disabled if you're still in midair.

Oh and since I'm talking shit about Doom2016, what the fuck is up with that sound design? Try D4D with one of the common megawads, it's pretty impressive. Daresay it's probably better than the actual Doom 2016 since you have actual maps. There's a lot more fun mods on top of that and the modern source ports might as well be their own engines.

Honestly one of my favourite things about doom is the modding scene, the actual game is brilliant but the modding scene just straight up makes new games out of Doom. There was that one Doom mod that gave you new weapons, cleaner graphics but still doom graphics a bit of story, new mechanics, AI that help you out for some reason. Compare that to Doom 2016.
