So Sorry is quarantined into a super-hidden secret area, and can only be encountered during a certain and during a certain time of the day.
Glyde cant be found unless you literally just walk around in an empty room for several minutes, and then never shows up again after you he is fought.
Meanwhile, Muffet is a mandatory encounter, is woven into the story, gets a unique SOUL mechanic for her fight, and has a fairly sizable amount of dialogue.
She's the clear stand-out of all the donator-designed characters.

The other hints are a little more subtle, like how the monster in the hospital says that Kris sometimes comes to play the Piano, however if you attempt to play it, you just play a off key note.

For me, the single most interesting thing in the demo was the implication that Kris already had the ability to Save/Load/Reset.
When you get to the first savepoint, Kris already has a save file, but you over-write it.
Compare to Frisk, who only saved over an empty slot.

It seems to me that after Chapter 1 Kris is gonna become his own character with his own dialogue and shit, seeing as he has what appears to be a prototype dialogue portrait in Toby's concept "art".
One idea I thought of was the game having a "Kris's choice vs Your choice"-type dynamic with the dialogue.
What I was thinking is that in addition to Kris having relationships with other characters, he also has a relationship with you, the player.
If you take too much control away from Kris, or do things he doesnt like, your relationship with him goes down, making Kris start to resist you more.
If you let Kris do as he pleases or do things he likes, Kris will be more accepting of you.
So for example, during a dialogue tree there would be an option to let Kris choose what to say, rather than picking an option yourself.
Though I doubt something like that will actually happen.

Toby isnt exactly competent. I think the only reason UT had so much choice in the first place because of how short and simple it was.
A run of Undertale takes like 3-4 hours, tops. Meanwhile just the demo alone of Deltarune is almost as long as that.
Its going to be a much, much, much larger game. To the point where Toby had to hire a new team to be able to make it.
Hell, originally Deltarune was supposed to come out BEFORE Undertale, Deltarune was the original project before Toby realized it was far too big of a thing for him to tackle. Undertale was literally a spinoff idea he came up with while trying to make Deltarune.

He has no significant reason not to release another UT game and head dive into a pool of money and popularity. It's both an artistic style and approach to story telling. To cut a long post short: What almost all the core tumblr artists had in common in their drawings were cutesy characters with simple, round shapes and proportions, bland "vintage" color pallets, a constant linear perspective and just generally a very symbol-esc art style (think expressionism, but with less nuance). Nope, there is absolutely nothing in the room that is explicitly labelled as Asriel's.
Nothing is labelled as Kris's either, except "Your Bed", but I discount that for two reasons.
1) The narrator is not exactly reliable in either UT or DR, so they could be mistaken.
2) The concept of "your bed" is kind of nebulous.
It could very just mean "the bed you usually sleep in", which in the case of Kris missing Asriel as much as he does, could be nearly every day.
If I was sleeping in a specific bed all the time, I would begin to think of it as my own bed, even if its technically not.
The main reasons I think that the left side is Kris's side are as follows:
1)In Undertale's New Home the left side of the room was the human's while the right side of the room was Asriel's
2) The left-hand drawer has various items depending on the save file, all of which make more sense to belong to Kris than Asriel

I think at the game's going to be at least halfway to what you were expecting, but I think to compress it, a couple things do have to be implemented.
First off, an event mode that randomizes gameplay and/or imposes restrictions. Namely, say you have an arena mode where you square off with various characters and such and go through a roulette mode between fights to determine the next fight's restriction, like "Lowered defence" or "Slow moving", or beneficial things, maybe you can even accumulate style points based on the new shave mechanic, or collecting certain bullets to spend it on bonuses between fights. The boons and debuffs can be one time only or accumulative based on the mode.
This also allows you to set up fights that wouldn't happen storywise, and this is why a lot of RPGs have arenas in the first place, for dream matches and unused story boss content, effective recycling.
You'd also probably might want to include double boss bonus fights, the code itself was hacked for a triple Jevil fight on youtube, the events are separated enough for an easy transplant, perfect for a survival mode. Toby already has a great system for this sort of experimentation. It's modular.
There's plenty of room for silliness. Lots of room for DLC Dream Matches, you can really stretch the game maker system when it comes to bullet hells, it has so many baked in modular move commands perfect for that.
If this turns into a franchise it has potential, might even peak late and die gracefully.
I'd go for a Sans/Papyrus, Alphys/Undyne, Asgore/Toriel, Asriel/Ralsei, Weird Minor Character/Weird Minor Character joke team, and then a Gaster/Jevil double match hard boss rush honestly.
