Have you got any games which broach on, or fully get engaged in, politics, philosophy, or other such topics which could be applied to real life? Deus Ex may be the most recognized one, but there are others out there, such as Metal Gear Solid 2 and that one adventure game whose name escapes me. On that note, has your own philosophy changed much because of those games? Hell, one's guiding philosophy could change even after playing a simple multiplayer game - everyone's interactions and experiences in such games (or at least multiplayer games back then where people wouldn't refuse to play solo and also actually communicated with their team instead of sticking to some gay ass discord spyware [oops, I shouldn't say that word here]) are different based on the user, and I will even admit that my own philosophies and thoughts changed following the many years I've spent playing TF2, Warcraft 3, and other games before that.
Whether it was those games alone that changed my ideals is up in the air, but that's besides the point. Also, don't post any "philosophical" games where the writer clearly had their heads stuck firmly up their own ass, such as in Nier Automata.

I'm personally hoping Cyberpunk addresses the continuously growing cyber dystopia that big corporations, democrats and the chinese seem to want to push on us. The fact that 8chan was shut down for so long proves that there's a heavy monopoly in big tech, and that monopoly wants to police the way we think and do things in our spare time. Although while Cyberpunk itself was created on the message that if corporations get to big then they'll fuck us over. I'm worried they'll try to push in a leftist slant rather than portraying both sides of the argument and try to relay the message that chinese interference is the start of the tyrannical Cyberpunk reality.

We're already living in that reality, I'm afraid. Remember how much they built up the 2000's back in the 1980's? It's what I call technological innovation but in the wrong places. They're getting better at warfare and spying on people but not so much with actually improving the world. It's all pointed inwards instead of outwards, so-to-speak.

That is why you shouldn't trust any future predictions for technology from journalists. They themselves know fuck-all about how any of it works to the point where it is an absolute fucking miracle if you can find one that can give you an even remotely correct definition of the word "quantum" without looking it up on Wikipedia. So why should you listen to what the fuck they have to say about it? And I would go further than that and just say that you should outright distrust anyone they put forward in the spotlight.

Why not just read a book on any of those topics? I can't tell the last time I bothered with a story in a video game. It's not that the writers have their head stuck up their ass, it's that they're incapable of explaining themselves through a videogame properly. It's like browsing the app store to find good video games.

I'd hardly call MGR philosophical, but the most interesting part is that Raiden's reason for fighting is one usually cast as villainous, that the ends justify the means, whereas Armstrong is the exact opposite, "might makes right" is by definition the means justifying the ends, it's just that he has a grand goal in mind, while Raiden wants to maintain the status quo

Maybe a bit of a stretch, but when Warthunder added new maps that were pretty obviously set in an American small town it shook me up pretty good.
It was very rattling to start up a game and watch what could easily have been my dad's hometown get turned into a literal warzone with the shells of flaming vehicles, cars being crushed or blown up by stray shots, streetlights being knocked down, etc.
Especially when I realized "this is how European players must feel and this actually DID HAPPEN for a lot of their homes."

No, you said you wanted engaging politics and philosophy told in a non-head-stuck-up-ass fashion. Which can't exist in games because a writer needs a lot of preparation to explain something properly lest he be misunderstood.
Sucks to be you though. I'll play Umihara Kawase, Mario World romhacks, multiplayer games and roguelites because I'm not an idiot. FF13 seems to be the closest thing to a story-driven game that I actually cared for. Perhaps because it's actually directed but who knows. People have a hate boner for the game for some reason.

op, the larger part of philosophy can't actually be applied to real life. What usually happens is that it strives to be so universally applicable that it does not concern itself with what is (should be) going on, but with other questions like 'how's it possible that my perception exists' and the like (barring ethics of course, and aesthetics to a smaller extent)

>X3 is when they really got everything right.
Xenosaga has a wierd but familiar system that is a nice combination between xenogears and a standard RPG where.
Xenosaga 2 has the most unique system that would be the most expanded concept of a system that expands upon the xenogears system with highs, lows, arials, knockdowns/heavys etc. Xenosaga 2 suffers most from enemies being so focused on using that stock system where you have to build up and having use the EXACT (very important to capitalise if you are thinking about playing it) combo to defeat. I can't say for certain about the limits of the gameplay system because I didn't complete the game 100% and get all the optimal end game buffs and play through the game. Also there were spells and summons too that were available in the game but I didn't really care because I thought "Oh, everything will be added on and improved upon in the third series" like an optomistic dipshit. If any game managed to expand or improve upon Xenosaga 2 It would be great; but I guess that goes for every JRPG that "Didn't reach its potential".
Xenosaga 3 went fuck-ass basic with its standard RPG system where there were normal attacks and hard attacks which led you to attack more or stun the enemy if I remember. It was a disappointing gameplay system but it was standard and worked all things given. Xenosaga 3 is bog standard gameplay that shouldn't be praised while its previous two games have something unique in them that should have been expanded upon which I think brings Xenosaga 3 down in my opinion.

Sorry about that.
There is an expansion upon the xenogears system where there is multiple finishes to input/combo strings. there is a specific action to pressing triangle. square, and 'x'. You can learn even more finishing moves.
Also adding on Xenosaga 2. The game had turn cut ins so allies could add in their combos (built by stocks) which made battles more one sided in your favor. Once again building stocks was a bitch because it relied on all your allies to build stocks, if one of them died your momentum in battle was fucked and you had to spend time healing them.

Corporatism is pushing multiculturalism way harder than Communism. Sure the Marxist retards are more adamant about multiculturalism on the surface, but it's just so they can feel self-righteous and it's also out of spite. Corporatism naturally pursues multi-culturalism as a key way of how it functions, because it's a way they can cut cost and drive wages down. It's been happening in America since it's fucking inception. It's absolute blind greed. A force orders of magnitude stronger than some SJW retards in San Fransisco feelings.
It's really hard to say which one is more destructive than the other.

They both do that, dumbass. Look at the cabinet of any president in the past 30 years. We're already in a dystopia.

Why was Pre-1900's America the closest Capitalism ever got to being a perfect system? Was it due to the strong moral guidelines the overwhelming majority of citizens followed? Was it due to the lack of financial systems of banks and corporations? Was it due to the relatively unheard-of rights each citizen was allowed? Or was it simply due to the fact that the jews hadn't yet thought of a way to subvert the burgeoning new society that sprung up out of nowhere practically? I think the founding fathers were truly on to something. Where did it go wrong?

You already know the answer: a society only functions when it's whites only. It honestly doesn't matter what system is used; if your population is honest and hard-working then you get peace and prosperity - if not then you get crime and poverty. Add on to that the fact that America had plenty of untapped resources and room to easily expand, as well as being relatively free from the cancer of an (((idle aristocracy))) and you had the perfect recipe for a place where people could live freely and where hard work paid off.

I like the Oddworld games but sometimes I think the they have an anti-western message though. It seems to make capitalism, industry and technology out to be bad things while lionizing the whole "noble savage" idea along with tribalistic mysticism and ancient superstitions with how Mudokon civilization is portrayed.
Though I will admit message of the game does have point about there sometimes being too much technology and how some times capitalism can lead to cronyism and screw over the little guy. I do agree that can be a problem.

Probably because the game part is shit, ie the exploration and battle system.

I think it's just that with work being much more connected and efficient it gets easier to exploit. It don't see how it being whites only means anything. We had many african americans working low class jobs. It's still mostly the case now. Just bussiness have all this science and knowledge that back then they didn't have. In the 30s and 40s they were actually breaking monopolies. While now they're working with them.

I recall the creator of the series said that the tone and villains of the upcoming game were inspired by seeing what the (((elites)))) were doing so make of that what you will. Found these that give further insight:

Western society has been on a downward spiral after WW2 anyway, so it's not like it's anything too off the mark.

Nigger the game uses russian terms and names for the horrible shit in the game. Like gulag is kulag or some shit. The creator stabs more on gommunism and marxism than anything else, also in interviews. I have the artwork book of Oddworld, even more info in there. It also stabs at monopoly shit for sure, and (((them)))

George Washington was only invited to a lodge meeting, even then it was before the Illuminati takeover of the Free Masons in Wilhelmsbad. He was asked later in a letter what he thought about the Free Masons and he responded that if the stories were true they have rotted from the inside and are no longer worth revering as they once were. Get your facts straight before you disrespect the founding fathers. https://archive.is/jEg9#selection-17.21-17.32

The Industrial Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race.
I'm torn on this subject though. Without technology, we'd just survive on Earth until the Sun explodes. We need it to colonize the stars, but it has made many of us miserable despite the physical luxuries it provides. At what cost?

Study after study has found that the more diverse an area is, the less trust exists in the community, even within the same race or group. High trust societies are successful ones. You don't need research to tell you this though, it's quite obvious to anyone paying attention.
