Also, I only now realized: if the FCS allows to set the initial health conditions of an NPC, you could easily turn the Fugmen mod into a Gondola mod.

Maybe make a few of them spawn in the desert, without arms, no dialog. Just the sand, the sun, and you with it.

That usually happens when you break their right arm and they have no equipment that works in the left.

Easily, as long as those recipes don't do anything new or interesting. Creating, say, a new weapon is quite easy. You start by duplicating an existing weapon (easier that way), change all the attack values, change the crafting materials, even the crafting station if you want, assign a new graphic (creating new graphics is much harder, I'd steal from an existing mod for that).

What you can't do is create an entirely new type of weapon. Making a new Katana with graphics based on Nier Automata is easy (and been done), making a functional Kusarigama is basically impossible. I think weapon animations might be editable (there's an existing mod that I think does exactly that), but even if they are it's way outside my skillset.

The right is a good example. I had the entire pictured complicated bullshit placed before I hit build. Getting walls to connect in the correct direction with multiple gates is extremely difficult.

Usually I would include a third gate, but when I built that all 29 of my characters were combat-capable, so I figured if anything made it through I would just let everyone fight instead of locking them in an arena with dedicated melee.

>Where can I buy First Aid kits

Most travel shops sell the good ones. Look for a sign with a man wearing a backpack. Flats Lagoon and World's End have them for sure. Bars sell the shitty ones

Note that contrary to what the flavor text says, it's always worth buying the better kits. Advanced first aid kits provide 2.2x the charges per inventory space, and 1.76x the charges per cat of basic kits, standard are in the middle. That means the better kits are both more cost AND space efficient. The quality modifier doesn't seem to limit efficiency, a rank 1 medic will still be more cost/space efficient using an advanced kit.

For me, I had fun learning the world and seeing how it reacts to my actions, and from having it blow up in my face and trying again. It's actually a good thing to get BTFO (as long as your character doesn't fall unconscious and bleed to death), and your game only really ends when your last dude croaks. Speaking of fixable, be VERY careful about purchasing buildings in altered world-states if you intend to ever use the import feature. This is something some players wouldn't think to ever do while others might build their gameplay around, so it varies.

Importing normally allows you to reset factions and towns. If you decide you really didn't want to annihilate the HN, but don't want to start over on another 300 hour game, you can use import to reset that. Also good for reviving NPCs you want to kill/capture (again), which may be necessary if you capture Cat-Lon to use as a sparring partner and then spend some time outside your base (captured characters in an unloaded cell tend to get deleted from the game).

Anyway, the problem is that if you own a building and have stuff in that building, there's a chance the game won't reset ownership. That sounds like a good thing, until you buy the Holy Nations former command center and now own the building The Pheonix would spawn in on import, so now he doesn't spawn, except the game thinks he's alive anyway and now you cannot effectively re-fight the HN no matter what.

You kinda need to put yourself in the shoes of your character. If you're a half-starving desert vagrant, you might need to mine ore for a few days just to build up your muscles and buy enough food for the day and maybe some decent equipment. Grabbing a companion is a must too, because of the way being unconscious, bleeding out works. It is a brutal, slow crawl, but before you know it you'll be killing legends and toppling regimes.

The problem that always stops me short of playing through the end game is that whenever I make a base, I seem to always get entirely ignored by raids. I made a base in the fog once, got raided by cannibals once and then boom, ignored. I wanna get my mettle tested, god dammit.

So on a NG, the world is randomized slightly (npc stock, purchaseable buildings, camp locations etc), and then importing does that, but carries over the player squads?

If I go crazy and wipe all the camps and nests out of an area, will they ever have enemies in them?

You can choose what get restored to original state by import.

New ones will be created overtime, anyway.

What exactly does changing the Town Radius do? I thought it might be nice to build closer to towns, and FCS does let you set this value via a multiplier, but I don't want to eg fuck up the AI or anything

Probably the living/reactive world mods.

Looking at your list, I recommend https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1605171674 and possibly https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1654739111 Just a face to go with the body and a fix (not sure if needed) to combine what you already have. Personally I tweaked the first mod to overwrite defaults as well

I believe town radius has to do with NPC behavior scripts and more importantly, the electrical grid buildings use.

If a building is outside the town radius, no power to it.

Would be useful to change for the few people who want massive bases that might run into the town radius starting from a weird point in their outpost with some of their buildings not being in it.

I made a base and stared working up to masterwork armor when that faggot Eyegore raided me, beat the shit out of all UC samurai, and caught him.

Was planning on using Eyegore as a training dummy but when I let him out, he just stands around and apparently has an allied pointer color now.

What should I do with him now?

He could have been useful as a melee defense dummy, but unarmed he's more dangerous, and since he's not a skeleton he doesn't make a very good attack dummy.

Basic defense dummy strategy: For training Melee Defense, find someone with high Melee Attack. Cat-Lon is best, especially because his scripting makes him rather passive unless directly engaged. Give them the shittiest weapon and hiver prosthetic limbs you can get. I used a Wakizashi, Cut damage is preferable because you can mitigate more of it with armor, but I don't know if weapon speed is good or bad, probably good.

Build an Arena out of walls. Not a building, not an open space in the middle of your base. A fully walled-off area with a locked gate. If there's anything short of a gate between the dummy and the rest of your guys, every single motherfucker not on passive will come running to join the fight from anywhere in your base, and they'll open locked doors to get there. Furthermore, characters can get knocked back or dodge through buildings, but not full-sized walls (usually)

Acquire the best defensive armor you can. Crab armor with samurai legplates, all masterwork, does best. The better your armor, the more you can train defense before getting knocked out. You gain exp for taking hits (and significantly less from blocking hits), but the actual damage of the hit doesn't matter. Also, make sure somebody has Assassination maxed out to put your dummy back in his cage when you are done, unless you want to let him loose on your entire base and hope you have enough power to put him down.

Finally, you'll want somewhere for your guys to rest and heal between training. With cat-lon, he won't usually chase you into a building, so you can build your infirmary right inside his prison yard. Others usually sprint after anyone they see, so you'll have to knock them out and put them away before healing.

Put your guys on defensive when sparring. The last thing you want is to get a lucky hit on your sparing partner, disable his arm, and face him using martial arts instead of his rusted junk weapon.

Since he has an allied pointer right now I can just pick him up but putting him back down he still has an aimless goal.

Even with all my gates open, still doesn't run away, just aimless.

>He could have been useful as a melee defense dummy, but unarmed he's more dangerous

Not really.

Eyegore spawned with melee atk/def just under 100, his martial arts are far lower and Chad could easily beat him senseless solo.

For training, you use a 100 skill melee enemy and give them a rusty junk weapon. They do WAY less damage with a rusty junk weapon at 100 skill than they do unarmed at 50, and besides, that 100 skill is what you test against to get bonus exp vs higher level

Let me guess, you started a new game after loading a saved game? Because that´s usually what happens, the starting place is normal but the rest of the world is empty from NPCs, i don´t know if it´s a bug or a feature but your "Old base" will be in its place with all your equipment, but you can repopulate the world again if you import the game

My problem with Eyegore kind of solved itself.

Forgot I left him outside of a cage and he went berserk after loading my save, started screaming about killing, picked up a weapon one of the characters accidentally dropped after smithing and picked a fight with my strongest character. Ended up dead but not before losing two limbs and his head caved in.

Kind of sucks my ninja couldn't knock him out at all, probably because his toughness was over 100.

Now I'm exploring the south east looking for some unconsenting training partners.

The site is slow as fuck, captchas are annoying and threads don't auto update. I still come by and check but it's no surprise that the other is attracting more posts when it simply offers a better quality service.

As for assassination, I always need assassin rags (+30%) with somewhere around 80 base assassination to hit the max-level enemies. So in other words, to counter >100 toughness, get >100 assassination.
