I'd personally say the PSP rather than the DS. Both portable consoles were pretty good on their own, but the PSP was really outstanding especially when porting home console games with minimal loss unlike the DS, and the sleep function was better handled on the playstation portable too. The Vita is decent but there was a lot of lost potential between Sony's dumb business moves and the state of the vidya industry.

You really think so? The Last Guardian is amazing and is clearly one of the only 10/10 console games to release in the last six years but aside from The Last Guardian there isn't much else. There was Earth Defense Force 5 but it just came to PC a few weeks ago.
Maybe Dreams will be good but it's been so long since that game's development began over seven or eight years ago. It's still in early access and now Media Molecule is hiring dev teams to work in their studio and make games within Dreams? Wouldn't players be making their own games within Dreams anyway? Why go out of their way to hire development teams when they have so many players with access? I don't get it.

PS2 had an official lifespan of 2000–2013. PS1 is close, with 1994–2006. SNES was 1990–2003.

You sure about that? There isn't a night and day difference between consoles/pc hardware capabilities like there use to be anymore. Newer hardware and specs are only glacially getting better with each passing year at this point. A multiplat game played on the PS5/Scarlett will be similar to that on a 2020+ PC rig, because we aren't seeing the technological leaps in hardware that we use to see annually.
