Work on your everything
For example, your legs and pelvis join smoothly into your torso. Your linework suggests that his torso just sits on time of the pelvis, in a weird way. The thighs are weird too.
Use line weights more effectively. The bandanna has a bunch of thick and thin parts to it, and in general, lines don't exist in the real world. Instead, put the thickest lines on the border of an object, and use very thin lines to suggest the form of a shape, but don't use them to differentiate different shapes, unless you're shading/crosshatching.

Yeah, I mean this is honestly my first time really attempting this something like this, the problem is when you say stuff like the lines and line weight, I really have no idea what you mean, part of the issue I was maybe following the reference very closely, I mean on the drawpile, we haven't gone too much into line weight, also "Your linework suggests that his torso just sits on time of the pelvis, in a weird way. The thighs are weird too." What did you mean by sits on time? Even if watch a video on the whole lines thing, I think it would just go over my head really. I was really just following this as my reference, that would explain to a degree why things are off.

Many years ago there was a site named Mystical Forest Zone. A guy from there kept in touch with me and when he decided he wanted to make a sonic-like game, had me do design and pixel work for it.
When the demo came out last summer on SAGE (an annual event for Sonic fangames and, increasingly so in recent years, Sonic-inspired new IPs), someone decided to make a thread about it here. I posted in it, probably the last time I bothered posting here to do anything other than "hey that anon pretending to be me isn't me".
I didn't shill it. But even ignoring that, if you want to believe I'm lying there- there's never been a crowdfund campaign for it. In fact the director's adamant on there never being- he's paying us all out of pocket because he wants to have full control over it, and a patreon or kickstarter would compromise him on having to do what the funders ask.
The game's not a Freedom Planet mod. Both it and Freedom Planet use Sonic Worlds at its base. Sonic Worlds is basically a resource starter kit to make Sonic fangames on Multimedia Fusion 2. You can read more about it here http://info.sonicretro.org/Sonic_Worlds
Since MF2 is an old-ass program, Freedom Planet has since had its engine forcefully converted to C++ to be able to port to consoles etc, and the sequel is, as far as I recall, running on Taxman's Retro Engine (same one as Sonic Mania).
Wonderworld meanwhile is so far still running on Sonic Worlds (incidentally, Sparks the Electric Jester does too).
There was never a "came to light that it was a mod for freedom planet" after it had "a crowdfund set up", because it straight up isn't a mod of Freedom Planet (it's if anything a mod of Sonic Zero, an old Sonic Worlds Sonic fangame by the same director) and there was never a crowdfund.
I DID swear the board/site off, but over a year before the game was even known publicly.
You guys have plenty to get mad at me about between going "hur hur commie" and "hur hur stealing our board-tans", I don't get the need for this added lie.
Anyway I don't expect the response to be anything other than "fuck you fuck off" but this narrative came so out of left field it confused me and I felt I might as well correct it.

I also at one point played with the idea of a wider chart like the catgirls one in the same art style. here's the stuff relevant to here from that- most of the others I drew were halfchan's board-tans. Eventually this just evolved into drawing console-tans
And yes, that's the dreaded-to-GG-thread design of Vivian with a sega d-pad instead of either a clover or infinity band (because I wanted her associated with neither but with a wider concept of vidya) and dark green/blueish instead of purple (which came as a necessity from 7-colour-limited sprites but I realised I actually liked a lot).

It's an Italian puzzle usually found in crossword magazines, I'm not expecting you to get it either, basically you're supposed to use the letters on the various objects of the picture before or after the name of their object to form a small phrase with word lengths included in the parentheses. Outside of some easy ones (kings are "Re" in Italian so they're usually at the end of verbs) they're really quite tough and at times unintuitive, but I really like the art style for them.

I work on Kyle and Lucy Wonderworld. It's a Sonic-like game being built in Multimedia Fusion 2, through the use of a.. I'll be honest, I'm calling it resource pack but I'm an idiot at programming stuff, maybe there's a better name. Basically same way there exists Pokémon Essentials and Pokémon SDK to help you make Pokémon fangames or clones on RPG Maker, there's Sonic Worlds to help you make Sonics on Multimedia Fusion 2.
Freedom Planet is an earlier indie Sonic-clone. It also used the same engine, and we share a couple people staff-wise between the two, but it's a different game. That's what ended up wildly exaggerated to "they crowdfunded a mod for planet freedom".

I know what you mean, but the only way to dispel rumors is to address them directly and publicly. There will always be detractors, but stating your truth openly and honestly will at least give disgruntled anons a moment to rethink their stance.

From what I could remember, as long as the original files exist somewhere on some drawfag's hard drive and he can prove to a court of law that he made those Indonesian Puppet Show pictures, and then replicate them in some form, then he's granted full ownership of that drawing and can dictate if the character counts as a design or as a one off thing. IIRC that's how the Trollface guy managed to snatch the IP from cringe worthy products.
I'm more dubious on what I can copy gameplay-wise, though, that's the reason I'm going full free, also because I'm a proponent of a completely free internet (probably the only thing in common with commies that I have) and no way in hell I could even afford expensive DRM that is going to get cracked on day -1 when there's plenty of anons who would generously bankroll any future (COMPLETED) project.

Study anatomy and look for every reference guide you can, up to and including Loomis. Suggestions off the top of my head are making short lines to shape the rough draft before you ink and using a crossline for the face if you want it pointing in a direction.
