I wanted to add something I just now thought about. I really think the devs would be better off not wasting their time on the shit which is obviously almost entirely pointless like the arena management. From what they've described, Exanima is a tech demo for Sui Generis (yes just like Star Citizen with its gay subgames, fortunately this game doesn't subsist off of jpeg purchases) and everything except for the single player dungeon which will probably make it into the final game in some capacity is nothing but a proof of concept. The original arena was more than adequate for this, maybe it could have done with a more freeform loadout screen, but I just can't fathom why they built an entire system with an economy and very tedious and punishing management mechanics. I suppose it does do a good job of testing/showing off the combat AI in different situations, but again this could have been done with a simple scenario editor that lets you choose who is fighting rather than a treadmill progression system with randomized scenario options. It just strikes me as totally counterproductive from a testing/proof of concept angle.
