>Is it any good?
No.
I was, actually, considering buying it - because I liked the art style, thought the girl was cute, and figured I can grit my teeth and bear through the Poz so long as it had an enjoyable core gameplay loop.
But the more I looked into it, the more it appears that there is no core gameplay loop. It's a linear walk from Point A to Point B, listen to the stories, feel. When people are comparing it to Edith Finch, Rapture, Gone Home, Journey, and other such games interactive experiences - but say it's a pile of shit even compared to them because the narrative isn't partially hidden or vague enough with unreliable narrators to allow you to put on your own spin and form your own "connection" to it whatever the fuck that means in a VIDEO GAME. Apparently it's a simple and very blunt plot that beats you over the head with the intended message, leaving no room for ambiguity.
So it fails because it's not a game, and it's not even a good walking sim by walking sim metrics. Shame. There are messages in bottles to collect, and I guess seagulls to shoo away for some reason. I dunno. Really hoping that somebody takes it and makes a total conversion into a platformer with light combat.
