Also, I'm pretty sure that according to EU law, you are eligible for a full refund, no questions asked. If they're pussyfooting about "full refunds not being possible", they're trying to get you to settle for less… this could be considered an abuse of consumer rights and I hope there's a class action from it.

Checking with top funded kickstarter and of the ones I've played or heard from friends say are at least good: Wasteland 2, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Armikrog, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, The Banner Saga, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, and Expeditions: Conquistador. There's probably more but I haven't played most of them and didn't care for kickstarter after the broken promises made it unbearable to go back to the platform.

This is one of the few games I backed on Kickstarter, alongside Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night and Yooka-Laylee. I just wanted a continuation to the Shenmue story and I hope that it can continue beyond the Shenmue III game. I suppose they'll have to continue with some comics like the chapter 2 sidestory or write a novel if Shenmue III turns out to be a dud.

I spent a retarded amount of money on this kickstarter. Thankfully I was set on playing the PS4 version, but holy fuck. The one game I really wanted the most and it turns into such a shit show, and that's not even talking about how the game looks.

Every video I've watched of this game has been absolutely terrible. The voice acting looks bad, the gameplay looks half-baked, the animations look unfinished and sloppy, and just about everything else that indicates a game is objectively enjoyable is missing.

Also, when a far superior franchise already exists that does everything Shenmue set out to do far, far better, also having the benefit of more than a decade of iteration upon its mechanics and a far better narrative.

The only thing Shenmue has got going for it is nostalgia. The first two games were not that good, and have not aged well, and I sincerely doubt the third game will have taken any of the good stuff Yakuza is known for.
