Steam achievements are account based but saves and other related shit are, or at least capable of, saving to the cloud. Go to the games settings and set it to cloud. I don't know if it's automatic for every game but there's probably a way. Worst case scenario, buy a new hdd and back it up all there.

If you're using gog installers then the saves should be in the same folder as the games themselves or in my documents. Back them up on a file site and in a thumb drive.

Do you mean you personally can't? Use spears. The lizards have hard heads but soft bodies. Hitting them in the head only stuns them, possibly exposing their body, and allowing you to sink a spear in them. You can retrieve the same spear and do it again. If they grab you, there's only a percentage chance you actually die before you get to their burrow, and you might be set free by infighting. I think the symbol of real death is having x's for eyes, don't remember.

Its not for every game. Its for the online games in which I could loose any progress on it if I dont save it manually the data with that content. Singleplayer I dont care much, is like if your PC went to shit, and you lost all the levels/stuff you got on Vermintide 2 because you didnt transferred a backup of your data manually in a regular way. That is why I ask for any ways possible besides doing manually, but yeah Cloud saving is useful for this stuff; Although any other software recommendation is apreciatted too.

The reordering of the timeline to put 2+anime before 4 made it super obvious that having to kill Nero Angelo messed Dante up real bad before he met Nero.

Uh, you can. Chuck a spear. Lizards will only be stunned for a second if you hit them in the head, but you can impale their bodies a few times to kill them. Done at the right time in the right spot, you can impale a lizard against a wall with a spear and it can't move anywhere.
Rainworld also has shit tons of hidden moves. You can do all kinds of crazy things you'd have no inkling of being able to do. I mention this because one of the easier hidden moves is a belly slide, and using this allows you to instantly kill a lizard. You belly slide by hitting (left/right) + down + jump simultaneously. If you do this, and you're carrying a spear, and you throw the spear in midslide just as a lizard is lunging at you with its mouth open, you impale its mouth and kill it immediately. This is an extremely difficult technique to pull off, however.

Are there any decent games having a dying earth setting?
The ones I've been eyeing so far are Dark Earth and Arx Fatalis, but I'm not sure either truly fits the bill. For those who haven't been reading genre literature the setting I'm talking about is that of an untold distant future where the Earth is old and the Sun is fading, both slowly dying. The ruins of a hundred or thousand societies and civilisations lay about but the current people are almost medieval. I've greatly enjoyed reading the books of Jack Vance, M. John Harrison and Gene Wolfe and would really like to see something like that in a video game.

There was an XCOM-like game, pretty old (either early 00's or late 90's, not sure) that was about aliens invading etc. (basically the same as XCOM or Xenonauts), but had some planetary growth spreading across earth over time. this is coming from someone who's dabbled quite a bit in hammer for TF2 and GMod yet I've never finished any maps
all the dev tools look and feel archaic as fuck and they're prone to crashing often. importing custom materials and models is a fucking nightmare that never works properly. directories are a pain in the dick to set up. modeling for source is also a huge headache because proprietary formats lul. look up a guide on modeling for source and it'll be over a dozen pages long, when in reality it should be nothing more than exporting from Blender/Maya/whatever you're using then just adding it to the dev directory. I think the main purpose of Source 2 was to unfuck the backends rather than focus on GRAFICS, I've heard the tools are a lot more dev friendly and work better with other model formats.

I have a Xbox 360 with RGH and I want to install the second disc of TES IV: Oblivion GOTY on it. From what I read, I only have to put the files in "content\0000000000000000\titleID\00000002\". However, I tried that but, although the game shows a message saying "loading downloadable content", I can't find the entrance to Shivering Isles, which should be somewhere in Niben Bay.

I passed the "Compatibility" tests for VR Gameplay given in Steam.

Why do I need to have an i7, when all I need to do to "make it faster" is to just add another 4 or 8 GB of Ram?

I have the newest RCM loader firmware and the newest Reinx payload, as well as the actual Reinx system on a 64GB exFAT microSD card. Yet the OS doesn't boot. Neither does SX OS or Atmosphere. But thing is that I have it now, but it requires the SWORN Tag to use it. Is the tag required to use it to rescue her, or it isnt needed? intel has you buying a new board every year, dunno why you would expect otherwise (especially when changing cpu companies).
get a cheap ryzen (I picked a 2600x for myself) and a b450 which should have compatibility up until next year - officially am4 socket is supported till 2020, which probably has the ryzen 2 refresh, meaning you can upgrade to the last cpu for the socket and be done for the time being. unless you really need the x470/x570 features like OC or pci4 (most don't).
not sure if the ram is compatible but personally I would just get new ram for the new setup. sure it's more expensive (tho ram is cheap atm) but it means you still have a working combo you can re-use/sell as a bundle etc.
word of warning, check the boards memory list because not every ram works on every frequency, if you pick one that works it's less hassle returning it or having to fiddle with the bios etc.

Sort of hoping someone can help me out here. In Fallen London there is a quest line called Seeking Mr Eatens Name, that has some major notoriety as being the darkest and most off the rails, which got my interest a bit because there is some messed up stuff in this setting and somehow the conclusion renders your account entirely unplayable.
Unfortunately, after a certain point the Developers have requested that anyone that plays to the final portion of the quest line where you get a prompt outright saying to PRESERVE THE MYSTERY OF THE WORLD and despite my searching on Tumblr and vg archives no one has actually went against it as far as I can tell.
So now I'm asking directly if anyone has a transcription of what the finale of this quest line is. I haven't bothered trying to do it myself only because as it is a browser game and certain events are time gated to proceed it would be quite a hassle and I want to know if I can get an easy answer.

The Californian writers are so brainwashed they have to force their own modern political and racial views which simply did not exist in 1899. The concept of racial equality wasn't even a thought then let alone held by uneducated cowboys who've spent their entire lives on the run. For me it broke immersion in what otherwise IS a good game. I had a great time playing RDR2 just the political overtones got so unrealistic and revisionist that at some points I just was turned off by it. I know the counter argument would be "BUT it's a fictional game anon it's not supposed to be exact reality" well sure but it's massively influenced and based on the reality of the 1800s, early 1900s American southwest and they took painstakingly long to make it as accurate as possible in many ways but not in the most extreme basic ones like that? wtf

Does anyone have experience fixing or refurbishing DualShock 2 controllers? I recently acquired a secondhand PS2 and I've had the worst luck with getting controllers for it.
The first one came with the console itself and was so fucking dirty that even after several attempts to clean it the cotton swaps were still coming away muddy brown. It at least functions, but even then the R2 button is pretty finicky. The second one was a relatively cheap "refurbished" one I got from eBay which arrived with fucked up face buttons, on disassembly it was clear they hadn't refurbished anything about it. It was trivial to clean, but the overall casing has a pretty unpleasant, worn down texture, it seems like it's been through a lot of use.
I'd had enough with the secondhand controllers so I shelled out for one that was new in the box, but for some reason the square button is nonfunctional. And the thing is, it's not even consistently nonfunctional, it's been fucked up in like four different ways. It's either 1) totally unresponsive, 2) autofires when held, 3) functions normally but only when pressed fully down, or 4) functions normally as long as it's pressed slightly beyond the analog threshold. At least a dozen times now I've taken the thing apart to try cleaning the contacts, but nothing looks even remotely wrong inside. I had the idea to take the guts of one of the refurbished ones and put it inside the newer one's shell, but it seems like it's a later production model, so it won't fit.
tl;dr PS2 controller new out of the box doesn't work and is fifteen years past its warranty, am I just shit out of luck

Terranigma is its own game. It's hard to compare the two. Gaia focused more on a party of characters, where Terraniga is much more lonely, and much darker. Also, the action is amped up considerably, but make sure you check out an FAQ or something because there are some moves that were explained in the manual that aren't explained in-game IIRC.
I consider Illusion of Time one of my favourite SNES games, and I would easily put Terranigma a tier above that.

Special Attacks

Some enemies are resistant to normal attack and require you to attack them
with certain special moves in order to cause damage on them. Here are the
four special attacks that Ark can use in this game.
Rushing
- - - -
Press 'A' rapidly to create a constant stream of weak attacks that can be
used to paralyze an enemy so it can't attack back. The attack is very weak,
but it will always do at least 1 point damage for each hit. With the fast
stream slow enemies like the Living Statue do not even get the chance to
retaliate meaning that you can take them out without effort after they get
stuck in the stream. This attack is meant for attacking slow, big and
strong enemies.
Slicer

While running do an attack and Ark will lunge forwards pointing the tip of
his spear out. This attack is mainly used to attack fast enemies like the
Borfe and Figure Heads.
Spinner
- - - -
When you are in mid-air do an attack and Ark will perform a Spinner attack
that is ideal for taking out enemies on elevated sections or aerial
opponents like the Perinton.
Slider
- - - -
If Ark is jumping while running he can perform a long range Slider attack
that takes out submerged enemies like the Raiden and Mud Doll. This is one
of my favorite attacks, because the range is big and you can keep on moving
with maximum speed with this attack.
X-Guard
- - - -
Ark has only one defensive special move in his repertoire and it is used
solely for blocking projectile attack. Press the top 'R' button to have Ark
block with a flashing X-shaped cross, hence the name. This way you can
block any projectile, but Ark cannot defend against normal regular attacks
and will get hit if you try to block using this. You better use this only
from a distance.
