Who cares, why does this surprise you and what the fuck are you even expecting?
Rules and "Code of Conduct" are in place just to make it seem official and civilized but nothing of that counts jack shit because the principle behind those rules isn't to treat everyone fairly with equal opportunities. Their only principle is to advocate for their specific ideology and the rules will be upheld or broken according to how they fit that.
It's perfectly natural for them to remove that link since it's "persona non grata" talking mad shit about "protected class\person" and they can't give any space for rival ideas to appear. That's the only reason they have or need to do it and before you start chimping out with "but muh rules, but muh freespeech!" rules only matter when they can be enforced and nobody will or even can force them to keep the links or do anything remotely close to that.
On the other hand, they are pretty much free to uphold whatever rules they want, including ones made on the spot for a specific situation that won't be used again, because they can and will enforce them.
You should know how this is played and you should know what the proper response to this is: fucking ignore it and stop feeding attention to them. The less relevant they became, the less power they have. Keep paying attention and you're just fueling the bastards.
Anita did not went bankrupt when a bunch of videos\articles were written about her, that's when she got the most money and influence. She became a nobody when nobody else talked about her and the media moved on to it's next outrage.
Learn from that shit.
