It's great, i'm having a blast. I've cleared Immortal Throne and i'm halfway through Ragnarok. I hit a wall with Atlantis but i'll revisit that later. Once that's all said and done i'll start again on Epic. I built pure warfare like a moron but i've started to make it work for me. I've always wanted to play this game but i've never had a rig to run it and it was worth the wait.

Just started dabbling in it with a friend since we couldn't get TQ's shit netcode to work and it seems pretty good. It's got an interesting twist with it's passive skill tree and active skills being equipment gems. Graphics and animation are pretty good but I wish I could zoom the camera out more. We'll see how I feel about it as I sink more time into it.

Whoever designed the diplomacy and trade AI needs to be sacked though. Broken lords are super fun, they're probably my favorite themewise but I end up having the slowest games with them because expansion victory is hell. Had a really fast game as the pantyhose elves because they just build everything super fast. In all honestly roving clans are the most fun to play for me because you can dick around with the market and ban people when they insult you. It's still better than the political jew dragons that force you into being alliance and then declaring war on your next-door neighbor that they just so happen to be miles away from, dragging you into it, because (((greatest ally))) knows what's best because despite the fact that they supposedly hate war, unlike the roving clans, they can still declare it.

I have an ongoing smough playthrough. It's fun to pvp with because most people misjudge the sheer damage and poise you get from that hammer. Combine with a farron ring and you can do it a lot even with only 10 attunement. Just do something like a hawkeye build or Alva, they're fun.

It isn't the roving clans- roving clans cannot declare war. The Drakken's racial power is that they can spend influence to force peace or alliance between you and them. The AI will only use it if you find their turf and are already at war. They also generate a ton of influence since their main quest has to do with it, iirc. Because of all their influence generation, they can have an empire plan and still use this in moderation or skip empire plan and just constantly cockblock your efforts to remove them from the game, the ONLY counter is completely neutral privateers since even necrophages cannot counter it because the drakken can still force them into truce if not peace or alliance (necrophages have "pitiless"). When it comes to gurl power factions at least the cultists have this batshit insane queen in a box and the ardent mages are led by a masochistic cougar, so it's funny and more realistic at the same time.

I enjoy a game more when it recognizes and embraces this fact, and then uses it to make the world more interesting. The fact that vaulters are the vanilla science faction just makes it all the more insulting. I think a female led faction would probably make excellent diplomats because of hospitality sex dens, and just being able to say, coerce a faction to go to war with another faction as is convenient to the diplomats. As a bonus racial ability, they could get gossip/intel randomly on units from other factions and on all diplomatic actions between other factions not involving the diplomats. Sex, manipulation, and gossip are trademark women things and yet it results in a faction with layered mechanics.

You could spin them as being deeply religious of the endless- having been isolated from absolutely everything since the dawn of their time, and constantly presented by the marvels of the endless, they chase after the scientific glory of their gods. Bam, science faction established in about 10 seconds. The vaulters as is EVEN ALLOCATE A HOLY RESOURCE but it just isn't attached to anything in particular as stated by their lore, they're just "bound by tradition dur hur". You would think that IN CONTRAST, a scientific community would be bound to change instead of in opposition to it, as new and superior developments change everything on a constant basis, they would be an adaptable faction.

I had a similar experience about 3-4 years ago. I replayed it again for the first time in a while and really took my time appreciating the characters, the writing, and the worldbuilding. Challenged myself with Skyrim, using requiem mod and Dead is Dead mod (if you die character is gone).
It had some good difficulty, and melee was intense, but I could feel myself accelerating towards optimized characters. After 12 deaths I made a stealth archer / conjuration vampire, and suddenly stopped dying. I beat most of the game until I no longer felt any progress or rewards.
I’m proud to say skyrim is a shit game with zero redemption.

At least play around with the console before you throw it away, you can at least get a couple good chuckles. I made a joke character that had the pugilist enchantment on every single wearable piece of gear twice such that most things I could walk up to and click them, instantly killing them with a piledriver or suplex.
As for normal gameplay, I almost always played a stealth melee killer that used the invisibility spell to throat cut everything and then alchemy to deal 800 damage to and paralyze for 40 seconds anything that I couldn't throat cut provided it wasn't also undead. That stuff worked on dragons and giants, far as I remember; human flesh was the only tricky ingredient to get unless you had a mod that lets you actually get it from corpses.

Made a character who was a squire of the Knights of the Flame from Daggerfall but was wrongly imprisoned for years, only to be pardoned by the Emperor and be sent to Morrowind.
He ended up joining the Imperial Legion as a way to redeem himself and regain skills he has lost from years of lack of practice.

Playing all the Final Fantasy games up to 12.
Right now I'm doing 7 and I'm really having a blast,it's fun as shit (but I haven't left Midgar yet).
5 is by far my favourite right now,the job system actually added depth to the gameplay and bosses were actually designed with strategies and the ATB in mind (instead of 6's "SPAM ULTIMA BRO"),and I loved how it didn't take itself seriously while still packing some emotional punches here and there.
7's Materia seems interesting,but I don't know how I feel about losing unique abilities for each character.
And man,it's full to the brim with minigames.
Really liking it so far.

I'm playing a mixture of Steamworld: Quest and Hollow Knight. Both pirated. Here's my thoughts:
Steamworld: Quest has a nice handdrawn artstyle. It features a deckbuilder, where each player character contribute 8 cards each to a shared deck. Problem is, you can only field 3 characters at any one time, meaning you only can have 24 cards, and there's like 6(7, one character is two twins) in the game. You can only play 3 cards each turn, which is extremely limiting, even more so since your enemies can play four or more cards themselves under the right circumstances.
By playing three cards belonging to the same character, you get a combo, which ends in a combo attack and a fourth card. This fourth card is determined by your weapon.
So far the game is alright, but I can't really reccomending it in good faith.

DMC1 on PS2. I was hating it for a while because I kept switching off between it and 3 so I could only see it's unrefined shortcomings (like how the controls are ass-backwards with no rebinding other than a meaningless style change). FF7, preparing for Remake. In between long sessions I play Nioh, A Hat in Time, Dark Souls II, or occasionally FFXIV (Free mode) because I'm a poor fag who can only play games he's pirated YARRR so as to reduce burn out.
Feels pretty retro, obviously there are some annoyances, random battles, unclear progression at points, but nothing that has been completely off-putting. All in all I'm extremely impressed that, in terms of quality, a game that came out two decades ago can curb-stomp nearly all (((AAA))) shit shows that the games industry tries to push on people today.

Death road to Canada. Picked it up on sale and it's fun. The music is a tad garbage( though I like the theme of impending vehicle failure) even though it fits the stupid tone of the game. I will admit that this game tries a tad too hard to be quirky but I actually like that garbage.
Gameplay is surprisingly solid. Weapons are varied and feel different, zombies have just the right amount of challenge, varying from vacant non-threat to 5-second-death horde. The random events are funny and the fact that you can't see your party's stats give some added strategy for me. It's really RNG-heavy, but I never got screwed to the point that I felt it was a loss because of a bad roll.
It's not a game for everybody, if you're not able to turn your brain off to enjoy a bit of lolsorandumb humor, don't even look at the game.
Tl;Dr it's stupid and randumb, but really fun if you like that.

My Friend Pedro came out recently and I pirated it.
It's basically a score attack stylish run and gun. You can dodge, roll, midair roll, wall jump and the movement is very fun, if a bit too floaty(especially when you consider the animation is very amateurish) but so far I like it. It's more about going fast and killing stylishly than difficult levels ala hotline since you can tank quite a lot, even on hard mode and the dodge move dodges everything. I just wish restarting was a bit faster, but so far I'd recommend it.

Dragon Quest VIII my first time on DQ. It's really great, having a lot of fun with it, grinding the mobs with a talent that let me call them over for 0 mana instead of having to walk in circles to trigger encounters. Just came out of a "sword fighter" labyrinth or something like that, there was a statue that regenerated life and mana, abused it to do tons of encounter with the local mobs, many of them being fake chests or loot bags, both of them giving lots of money. That was definitely fun. Also story is cool, cutscenes are either hilarious or very emotional, characters are all unique and fun, I love it
AC 4 Black Flag - scratches the pirate itch rather well, although it's too easy. Once you get the hang of naval battles, you are unstoppable, same goes for sword fighting but that is nothing new, it was also very easy in the previous AC games I played, eons ago : AC2 and brotherhood. Unfortunately, characters are rather bland and story is much less engaging than those funny italians in AC2, sexing the local females, escaping through windows, and being bros. Still a fun game to play, if not a great game
Tried also minecraft for the first time, exploration part is engaging at first but than you discover all the flaws of it being randomly generated : it's usually uninteresting, and the same everywhere : huge chasms everywhere, gives you tons of minerals for free, have some fun building a couple stuff, then discover redstone and that basically it NEVER works as intended and instead it's a "game" of finding and exploiting its quirks. You either experiment for hours on end to understand how a certain mechanic works, or you just copy from some intelligent guy on youtube. Unfortunately, while I spent several days trying to understand how golems spawned in 1.14, discovered I would never have ok iron drop rates, it got all changed. And then again all changed another time. So everything I built is obsolete, all the experimentations I did in a flat world were for nothing. Start to copy designs from youtube instead, start with a basic monster farm : never works correctly, because what they don't tell you in the videos is that the ground is swiss cheese, monsters spawn everywhere, and your farm turns poor rates unless you spend hours exploring and placing torches everywhere. Same if you want to keep a village you discovered in its state : you have to place torches everywhere, and even then villagers die all the time to accident, or the very buggy pathfinding makes them all get lost in a nearby cave system, ditch, or drawn in a nearby river or lake
This is yet another game of "mods will fix it". Good premise, but poorly developed
Also tried to get again into terraria, having played it several years ago. It's now too rich to get into, too many things to know, too many hidden mechanics, I don't have the sort of time it requires to get into it, although I can understand the appeal

Going to play Third Age TW when I get home. There's a faction that can enslave people and recruit units from other factions. It makes for a lot of variety in your troop roster and helps to make up for your complete lack of cavalry until late game. Literally just talk to the guide to be told what to do next, spawning the boss in hell is the only thing the game doesn't tell you about. 95% of the entire game is optional, it's just there so you have shit to find and gear to upgrade when you scramble around. Playing Fallout New Vegas for the first time. Got it in the mail yesterday Xbox 360 copy and I've played it 4.5 hours already. Really like it and I've barely scratched the surface. I followed the guy who won the lottery and he ran into the desert and got killed by a giant radscorpion within a couple minutes lol.
I feel blasphemous changing the HUD from amber to green, but I like it better that way

I'm finally going to finish the Crusades campaign which I tried before but didn't get really into.
I'm playing as Byzantium and their roster really leaves much to be desired. I'm close to the end so I'm either auto-resolving or sending 3 armies to take one city with a garrison.
If I ever play it again, I'll pick Antioch because they seem like the most fun faction.

It actually has surprisingly good gameplay.
The class system encourages all kinds of mixing and matching which I like.
The art is fantastic.
At the beginning you get 3 girls: a loli cat as flat as a table, a childhood friend with mid-sized chest and an "onee-san" type with bigger tits. Their sprites are animated and their chests bounce.
You also need to "synchronise" with them which essentially means use your God-given right as the hero of the world to molest them while they lie in bed and they like it too.
They also shed some clothing during battle depending on how far you got with the synchronisation.
Overall, I really like it.

Switching out between Payday 2, and some unofficial version of Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. I just saw John Wick 1 & 2, so playing as him in Payday is cool enough to keep me going for a heist or 2 at a time. Haven't seen enough of the unofficial patch for Vampire to be able to properly compare it to the original, but it's been fun checking it out. Cant wait for #2!

I'm really enjoying it. I really like the exploration side of science fiction stuff in general and this game definitely delivers on that front. I do miss some of the greener areas of the first game, but on the other hand I feel like the area design of this game is more unique. The first felt too much like Super Metroid in terms of its overall area progression.

It depends, I played both of them. I personally, liked the 2nd one better, but the release was rushed near the end so the 2nd half of the game is fairly wanting. Since then, there has been an unofficial patch released that finishes a lot of half-done files and puts them in the game. Highly recommended. #1 is good too, though. That one is a masterpiece. Everything comes full circle, no loose ends. Epic ending, if you make the 'right' choices…

Pokemon Black; haven't played it since its release in 2011. It's cool using all these (new to me) mons and the soundtrack is fine. Story is straight weeb cheesy level though.
