Brigador Killers, the followup/sequel to Brigador is on steam. https://store.steampowered.com/app/903930/
Brigador itself is getting One Final Patch and the modding tools have been out for a while. Long enough for shit like airbust cannon and npc vehicles being made playable to exist. There's also a map editor, which I personally have no experience with, but it's apparently the same one devs use to make maps.
<I want to make mods and maps
Of course you do. Here's how:
>Get the modtools, readme in the zip
https://onedrive.live.com/?authkey=%21AKTvoH9%5FZ4azFLM&cid=E6878CE68414B99C&id=E6878CE68414B99C%2118900&parId=E6878CE68414B99C%21131&action=locate
<I want to edit units
Put it in the game folder and run it the dumppack. This decompiles the game and lets you start fucking around with things when you launch the game (because the mod kit is accessed via the game). This modifies files like the exe so back things up (or just copy the game installation and mod that instead)
The tools are very robust but fairly limited at the same time.
You can:
>Clone/Make new units
>Make NPC units playable
>Frankenstien/kitbash together vehicles
>Change how they move-one modder's made the spacer tanks handle like agravs for multi (ball-track) drifting.
>Change existing weapons
>Add new weapons
>Add new sprites
>Edit existing sprites
<You cannot add new sounds
That's off the top of my head.
<I don't know how to work the tools
Unless you want to modify units yourself, you only need the first 4 pages of this tutorial: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aCFxx4zjYadA-2pEimOTA3exjNtjIFpLnHwZjWaNc5Y/edit#
The map maker stuff is not my sphere of knowledge. As far as I know you run it's installer, tweak a few settings and off you go. There is more stuff on the stellar jockey's discord but they're working on a repository of info off discord for those who don't like it.
Pictures very related.
