What uses can you come up for them that can't be done either by using the triggers or just the stick? I know MGS3 used them to mimic pulling the trigger on guns, but that was because the lack of triggers.

I also just remembered Gran Turismo 2, I think, allowed you to use either the analog buttons or the right stick for throttle and brake control. Other than that I don't remember many games that used them.

Also, MGS3 and 2 used the right and left bumpers to control how far you lean or tip toe while in first person mode.
