I'm sick and I just want to escape. Ideally I'd like an open world game where I can just fuck off and explore and survive.
Shit that I would like to see in a game:
>managing hunger/thirst
>managing temperature (dress warm in cold climate, etc)
>managing stamina
>big open world to explore
>a plot of some kind, even if it's completely background, as long as it's not Minecraft tier "spawn in wilderness, and then ???" bullshit
Last time I got this sick I played BOTW, which was nice, but pretty casual with the lack of survival mechanics.
Can /v/ recommend me something?

Starbound. I'm playing through it and it's fucking fun so far. It's a Terraria clone I N S P A C E.
Terraria is a fantastic game, but my main issue with it is that it just dumps the player in the world and leaves them to figure out what bosses to fight, how to advance the game, and etc. This process could take hours upon hours if you don't look up what to do online.
But Starbound has a plot and main quests (along with a sandbox world) instead of just dumping the player in the world.

Err, no, but there are several endgameish events that can wildly affect your character.
It's also cozy as fuck. Eating soup and drinking coffee and ripping a blunt in an abandoned house in a rain, while wearing a cool poncho you made, having a nice book to read, a bottle of whisky, and a molotov to gtfo in case things go south. You cook soup and coffee yourself btw, on an electric cooker. The blunt has been rolled by you as well, from the bunch of roaches you have found in a junkie den.

Anyways, SCUM fulfills all of your conditions, minus plot, but it's early access survivalshit, so I wouldn't advise getting it before it actually releases. It's made by Croteam and the guys that made Gas Guzzlers, it'll come out sooner or later

Assassin's Creed if you want Ubishit. Shadow of the Colossus. It's definitely not a major part of the game, but I really enjoyed being able to climb around the roofs in town in Risen 1. That's one of the many things that the sequels removed or casualized. Prince of Persia involves a lot of climbing around on things. Thinking of Sands of Time in particular.

The only Platinum(as in P* after they stopped being clover, already played VJ and God Hand) game I've played was MGRR. How are Bayo, Vanquish, Transformers, TMNT and Korra?
578756 No.16509276
>>16509176
>Bayonetta
Much longer game, Bayo 1's combat is fully fleshed out, but the story suffers from instant death QTEs and controls in them that make no sense (you jump with B so when the QTE has you jump you are required to press A, shit like that). Bayo 2 is fun but when you get into it you find that it's not as well crafted as Bayo 1 because Witch Time is a reward for being good, it's not supposed to be a crutch of the game.
>Vanquish
Fun but tricky as it's a cover shooter with unique mechanics. I'm not well versed on it.
>Transformers
A cross between MGR and Bayonetta, it's a very solid game. People were turned off by the "loot" and "crafting", but it's really simple when you actually pay attention:
>Higher difficulty + higher rank = better weapons
>weapons only have about 5 different classes (5 different guns, 5 different melee)
Story and voices are excellent
>TMNT
constructed on a toaster and basically doesn't work. Ignore.
>Whorra
utter trash.
Basically, the guy who made MGR worked on Transformers, a dude who hasn't worked on anything his whole life worked on TMNT and Whorra. That explains the quality there.

Outward it a great skill based rpg survival with 3 major storylines and the main theme is slowly traveling around lending to the survival part while exploring places. Lots of back and forth at parts of the story but once you get the hang of the mechanics it's really fun.
