Not sure how EU is right now, but West and East are definitely the most populated servers right now. I've heard some success of players using vpns to play on these servers with manageable ping , but classes that need more precision like Theif or Striker might be a bit more harder to play. If you're just in it to chat, you can create a character on every server anyway, you're not locked into one.

I've heard Saga is okay, but I've never played it. I honestly just assume all of them are mediocre to shit right now. In fact, a lot of new servers are moving away from forums in favor of Discord. (I'm going to assume they're retarded, because Discord is terrible for tracking issues or bugs. It's meant for live chat and quick assistance.)
Royals is the most active, but they're also the most ban-happy and most resistant to adding needed features. (Also, good luck PQing. Despite being a nostalgic server, PQing died because a lot of players just leech their alts now.)

No, but I can tell my worst Nexon experience. I've told this before, but I fucking hate Nexon and want to make sure no one ever deals with them again.

>missing 4 levels of 4th job skills straight up cripples my character

>get automated email reminders every 2 weeks or so that they can't respond right away due to high volume of tickets
>stop playing again because fuck dealing with this
>check a year later to see if they ever actually responded
>wasn't going to play again, just wanted to see what their response was, if any
>ticket was closed on on July 2, 2012 telling me to start a thread on the forums
>triple check that date
>sure enough they took 1 day short of a full year just to make what was probably an automated reply
>forums are full of closed threads telling players to file support tickets

I regret not taking screenshots of that. I tried to take one the last time I logged into my account, but it showed no recent tickets. Looking back, it's actually pretty funny how backwards, unhelpful, and cyclical their customer support was. Including this, I filed 3 tickets for unrelated reasons and never once got a good response. Anyone else have Nexon stories?

I think the biggest problem that private servers have is that to survive they need more players but the more they attract players, the more the current year tries to seep in. For a PS to survive they legitimately have to be run by the best people we can find here, non-compromising, a strong base and only then open up to the wider public without pulling punches.

I've reinstalled the game once for the kicks of it and its still the same shit. Gear give you the biggest numbers, clever use of your skills gives you nothing. I have a 63 barbarian and while the effects are cool and flashy, it ultimately only is window dressing.

I think it's fun. Some classes are more engaging than others. Classes like Runeblade or Zerker are mostly just a one button class while others like Thief, Striker and Wizard need to focus on skill rotation.timing and positioning. Funny cause Wizard used to be the go-to OP braindead class pre-Awakening, but now you need 200 IQ to play them.
A lot of people quit after chaos raids were out because the first raid made people realize how important gemstones and pets were to clearing it. Once people looked into gemstones/pets and started to experience the RNG and timegating involved with them and other important endgame stuff, they started to quit. They took too long trying to fix the issues that most people had with the game (PNL) and with no real content for months, the playerbase started to bleed out naturally.

It's a Korean MMO. Its only redeeming factor is that it's cute. The dressup is okay, and the gameplay is awful in every way expected. It has one particularly interesting feature – it lets you build your own homes and buildings, picture related. Except, the only utility that homes have are as network hubs that let you teleport anywhere you've been for free (which eats up decoration space) or as spots to grind useless Life Skill items to craft various minor rewards (like items that give you tiny incremental bonuses in combat) or for specific cosmetic items. Life Skill objects take up about half of your house and are all farm-related, too, so again, they eat up real estate. This means that the customizable home effectively comes down to a portal hub and a life skill farm if you care about either of those, and is otherwise a useless decorative area. If for some reason you want to play it, I'd suggest playing on West, because Vidya is the only 8chan guild, and as prior covered, halfchan's guilds on East are all absolute cancer and are basically dead by now anyways. If some good comes of this game eventually, it will be because someone leaks all of the art assets for use in a better game, or maybe if someone makes a decent modded private server in five years or something.

from playing the game for a few hours, my first impressions were that the game looked like it was nowhere near finished. buggy, finicky quests that look like they were slapped together in a day, wonky zones and world travel patched together with a fast travel taxi, but on the other hand it had appealing graphics and the core 3d grindy korean mmo gameplay works surprisingly well and it's fun vacuuming up loot. both the best and worst feature of the game that makes it stand out is that it's best played with a controller, but at the same time the controller is only half usable and you have to keep switching to kb+m to use the menus for anything. for once i was begging for consolized menus because the controller gameplay was so fun.
