SE refuse to learn even today, not only their games are overpriced they still put denuvo on it. oh well another one to the piracy list
b68917 No.16477790
Maybe they purchased a bulk license from Denuvo, instead of one per game, so they are just sticking it to every game they port.

It's not that good of a game. It's pretty and that's all it really has going for it unless you don't mind it not having anything close to a story or reason as to why all these characters decide to join together.

Learn from what? Learn from the fact that A Tomato sold like hotcakes regardless of the fact that is was a broken port, had Dodongo on top of it and last but not least, didn't receive a shadow of an update?

I don't get why so many people praise octopath for looking good. The bloom, filters, soft shading on sprites, etc. It looks terrible to me but people praised the hell out of it.

Honestly, this.
When the game's demo first came out and they had that survey, I spent most of my response complaining about the graphics - and most specifically, their name for it. Why would you market this godawful style as "2DHD" when it is neither of those things? It's intentionally low-res blocky sprites in a 3D environment, with brown and bloom everywhere. It's like they took the worst aspects of old game graphics and combined them with the worst aspects of early 2000s graphics.
And yes, Denuvo is cancer that does nothing to curb piracy (and, in fact, ENCOURAGES it).

Looks like indie pixelshit meets 2.5D and 2006-tier bloom overload.
>dragon's crown
Looks like an ugly flash game where the characters all blend together and there's not enough distinction between foreground and background. The artstyle is fine but it's a visually cluttered mess.
Neither of those are good examples.

Sure it was a late port, but those are still pathetic numbers for what SE and their kike investors want.
Stuff like Mordhau, Divinity OG2 and Grim Dawn sold gangbusters with a fifth of the budget and no Denuvo.

This post is "horseshoe theroy" in action.
It's not the greatest game in the world, but it's certainly fun. I wouldn't dare touch it through Steam, but if you own a Switch then it's worth a playthrough. I'd recommend getting a used copy It's more or less an old school Final Fantasy title dressed up with fancy lighting and a different title. The story is disjointed until the very end; each character has their own storyline so there's not much character interaction. The game is fairly long if you don't autistically skip every battle or something. You won't likely play it more than once though.
Don't listen to any fags with opinions in the absolutes.

I'd say it caters to those who like a certain retro aesthetic like what indies keep churning out. Decent engine but they forgot to make a core story for the characters. It could've been the next Secret of Mana 3 but it fell just short of it.

Honestly it reminded me of Treasure of the Rudras more than anything. Keeping all the characters stories totally separate was a huge mistake though.

ir requires extra memoy and extra cpu to run the damm thing
example DMCV it was consuming 500MB of extra memory ( i dont remember how much more of the CPU was require)
also denuvo is using the same shit of xbox one had announced (you need to connect to the internet at least one time everyday to run games) the difference is that denuvo may vary from 10 days to a month, and for some reason that ok in the eyes of the shills

It says what it is on the tin. Perhaps with a release someone can fix how fuck ugly it is. It looks like they said, "Hey, let's employ that potatocunt and just slap future FX on everything. That's what the kids like. Those kids that never ate bread." Something like that.

Regional pricing isn't doing it any favors either, it is being sold way more expensive than most new games in different regions.

It's a decent game, feels comfy to wander around and rob everyone blind, would be worth cracked and it'll probably look pretty good if you could mod out the dof and bloom.
