Now that all PS4 yakuza games except 6 are on PC, hell no. The only games this shitty box has left are Bloodborne and Gravity Rush 2, and they are not worth supporting a company that went full soy.

Probably best to wait a few more years and let the PS4 jailbreaking scene work out all the kinks in exploiting it. I'm only willing to spend a couple hundred bucks with the guarantee that I can play any game I want on it for free.

Gravity rush 2 is pretty cool tho, but not console+game money cool. Maybe borrow a friend's one and purchase GR2 for it, so both of you get to enjoy it.

I played Bloodborne and Spooderman on my roomate's PS4, those and Gravity Rush are basically the only good games the system has that I was interested in, but ther's some good stuff on there I guess. You can play Persona 5 on PS3 but P5R will be PS4 only; there's the David Cage 'games', and some decent jap titles.

I only got a PS4 for a couple of select games.

Bloodborne : I was expecting Demon's Souls 2. Got the shitty off-brand Dark Souls shit. That needed 6 patches and a paid DLC to actually have a storyline. Christ.

Until Dawn: I was expecting Obscure/Obscure 2, got Heavy Rain :Everyone dies to the Taxidermist. Quite possibly one of the most realistically violent games released in decades. Yeah, Mortal Kombat is violent but that's silly violence. Realistic , straight faced violence is something that's rare these days.

Kamen Rider: Climax Fighters

I've nothing snarky to say. I am a Kamen Rider fanboy. I play this shit religiously.

If I have to explain why a Yakuza game with a FotNS skin is a must purchase, then I can't help you. Unlike previous non-fighting FotNS games, this one is actually fun, tries to create it's own story and even has you reinacting silly variants of classic storylines.

I'm not going to bore you guys with the details, but it's SRW. The franchise hasn't changed in 30 fucking years. It's still all the screaming, all the anime, all the robots just coming together in a clusterfuck of a storyline. Remastered is the Vita game but, obviously, remastered, and it has all the DLC. 2 is vastly improved over the original.

Again a sequel to a Vita game. They marketed it like a remake but it's not, it's a sequel. And it's great. Not that you need to know the story, but the gameplay is nice and the graphics and sound are great. It's like I went back to 1998, only with fancier graphics.

It's not as good as the original, but it's still pretty good. It's not a 1 to 1 remake. It's the same story concept and some levels are reused. Some are slightly expanded and some are new. Unfortunately, not all the old levels are included, and the new ones aren't as good as the ones we're missing. There are a bunch of quality of life improvements, and the EXP system from the sequels is included, but I miss those other levels. Also the story isn't as good. That said, it's only not good compared to a game from 2002. It's much better than most games to have come out in the last decade.

If I recall correctly, the PS4 uses a x86 based architecture instead of some special snowflake crap like the PS3, this means that emulation will be a lot less of a pain in the ass. I think you know why giving current year sony money is a bad idea.

Got one fairly recently, if you know what you're getting into, you won't be too disappointed, just don't get super excited over it cause at the end of the day half of what's on it is a multiplat.

Wipeout was my killer app when I bought it, but the 2048 stuff is way spottier in quaity than the HD stuff, which you can play on PS3 anyways. Crash Trilogy ended up being what I've been playing the most on it despite being a multiplat, just finished 100%ing it. You can get most of the 2015-2017 games for <=$20 with a few exceptions, which works pretty well.

<don't have money for a last gen pc

<have friends that own a ps4

<are interested in streaming or video editing

The ps4 is great in all these scenarios. Don't expect the quality a PC can handle, but you can play all the last gen games you want.

The video recording software is pretty great and allows you to record the last minute, 10 minutes or up to an hour of footage, and has plenty tools to edit, see embed video, I made this in less than 10 minutes.

Playing with friends is fast and intuitive, and the voice chat works great. Side note, writing text messages can be cumbersome, but the usb port allows you to simply plug in a keyboard and use that instead.

I've had my pc for like 5 years and I've only upgraded my GPU. It's still just as fast as the day I first bought it and I haven't formatted in like 3 years or so. No real need to since I keep everything on my HDD or external.

That's still my most played system overall, including PC. I do like playing Hotline Miami, STALKER and a few others now and then, however. I wouldn't mind a PS4 for RPGs and fighting games, but I don't really play a lot of modern games so it's probably unjustified.

Bloodborne will be remastered for the censorstation 5. It is nearly unplayable on the standard PS4. If you never owned a PS3 then a PS4 is good for the remasters, mostly.
